@ Radisson Blu Iveria

Expect switch to French bonus system (+3t) for REC and
ONE revolutionary step re GRAND SLAM, which
I guess came from 6N committee = they seriously contemplate BONUSES

A pair of federations already published the new season pools and draws of Conference Two, although with no dates
I don't know if it's official and definitive or if it may be changed during the Tbilisi congress https://www.facebook.com/EstonianRugbyUnion/

Those schedules are subject to *streamlining* and *ratification*

In the web there are strong indications, that
top two levels = 1A and 1B = follow 6N, on release weekends, and
the order of games are set as per traditional FIRA template

Say, for #1 seed the schedule is:

odd year (2017) 6-1, 1-5, 4-1, 1-3, 2-1
even year (2018) 1-6, 5-1, 1-4, 3-1, 1-2 (decider!)

What did you expect ? The most important is the yearly relegation playoff.

Have I written anything opposite?

Yes, 2-year cycle, with same order of rounds for 1A and 1B

It won't be a 2 year cycle any more, they have switched to a yearly cycle with promotion/relegation playoff from top to bottom.

Fine, but this won't affect scheduling

For #1 seed it would remian:

odd year (2017) 6-1, 1-5, 4-1, 1-3, 2-1
even year (2018) 1-6, 5-1, 1-4, 3-1, 1-2

albeit #6 will be different

Based on the grid on the link provided a few posts up, does anyone else think that its a bit odd the way they've been organised? Mostly they make sense:

C2 North
Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia

C2 South
Slovenia, Serbia, Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Turkey

There isn't much in it in terms of distance to other nations, but something just wants me to see Hungary and Austria swap groups. :P

American forumers will be more than happy about this, considering how much they talked about scheduling conflicts during U20 WRT: "From next season, subject to World Rugby agreeing to move the date of the Junior World Trophy to later in the year, eight teams will compete for the Rugby Europe U20 Championship."

Yeah it's a pity the main partners of the old Habsburg Empire aren't together and if they couldn't be together, as Hungary is closer to the Balkan nations overall, you'd think hungary would be in the South group. but I will look forward to the Habsburg v Ottoman (Austria v Turkey) "battle". I'm sure there won't be any love lost between the Serbs and Turks either ;)

As far as Hungary goes, maybe their distant cousins the Finns wanted the relatives in the northern group :D

It could have been worse I suppose. Turkey and Estonia could be in the North and South respectively :P

I gets even better for any nerdy linguist: Estonia and its language is also part of the same language family.
So we have a Finno-Ugric vs. North Germanic group and then the historian's wet dream with a Habsburg vs Serbia vs. Ottoman group ;-)

How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

The report will be published monday. Next year calendar seems to have been the focus of the discussion.
I wonder if they discussed also about next year's Challenge Qualifying Cup
