Last time Russia played an international in November it took place in Moscow against Spain on November 8 2008

And not in November but close - there were also friendlies against Argentina A in 2010 - on 23rd and 30th of October in Moscow.

If I were to guess they'd play ??? in Toronto, then Tonga in France, Russia in Sochi or a neutral venue then finish off against Georgia in Georgia. At least that makes the most sense travel wise.

If it will be home game for Russia, then the place depends mostly on which decade of November it is scheduled. And it also depends on who will be the president of RUR, as there is uncertainty who is the president today.
Last time Russia played an international in November it took place in Moscow against Spain on November 8 2008. But November games vs. Canada always took place in Canada or UK, so I presume it will be the one in Toronto, as Russia usually participates in Hong Kong Cup of Nations and will be on tour.

Except that Rugby Canada has stated we will have a game in Canada against an opponent TBD while we will also be facing Georgia, Tonga and Russia in Europe. If the Hong Kong Cup of Nations is happening they will probably send Spain or Germany to represent Europe. I wouldn't be shocked if we played Russia in the UK or France but I would prefer if the Russian rugby fans got to watch their team face off against non-European opponents. See if they can hype it up using the Canada/Russia hockey rivalry thats dated back to the old Soviet Union.

Yes, well from what I heard USA have agreed to play another European country.

Italy?

Something like Italy, Spain and one of the PI teams would be ideal IMO.

I won't be surprised if Uruguay is excluded from the November tours.

Excluded no, but meaningless tests maybe...although traveling abroad to a Namibia might not be so bad especially with one or two test in Europe, it's the same timezone. Fingers crossed for Los Teros

Will Namibia be taking part in the AIs? Last year they sat them out to rest up because the Welwitschias played a season of Currie Cup on top of their summer tests. And they are doing the same again this year.

Uruguay, barring a collapse, will be playing the loser of Canada vs USA in October. If they tour in November they'll probably wind up in Europe playing a similar set as last year. Russia makes sense since they are sticking around to play Canada. Rematches with Spain and Germany could also be fun. Maybe Romania again since World Rugby loves to pair the two together. That would go over well on this board

Once again the team of Kopyev was disgraced. Play with Canada in November in Canada. The Rugby Europe in Sochi, where rugby is of no interest to anyone. In the summer we play in South America, and in the autumn in North America. Over the years, not a single match is really on home field. Shame is the federation of rugby Russia. I'll tell you about the latest news. In December, Mamuka Losaberidze won the election of the President of the Federation. But the team of former President Kopiev arranged sabotage, refused to transfer all documents. That is, they did not recognize the elections that they themselves organized. This is peezz. Then one of the regional federations, which under the control of Kopiev, sued that the elections were dishonest! Broken brain! They organized the elections. Now while the courts are going the team of Kopiev, continues to work in the Federation of rugby. They have been working like this for 15 years.
And Losaberidze promises that with him the Russian national team will host home matches in Russia: Kaliningrad, Rostov, Makhachkala, Krasnodar and other cities. Moreover, we have a lot of good stadiums for football WC2018. The seats are full.

Yes, the games against Zimbabwe and Uruguay in Krasnoyarsk were very rare domestic matches of the Russian national team for many years (maybe 8-10 years). All the June and November tests under the leadership of Kopiev Russian team is a guest. And the European Cup in Sochi, where there is no rugby club.
I have a feeling that Kopyev's status as the President of the Rugby Federation of Russia is only needed for this purpose, so that there is something to talk about with his British colleagues. He lives in London and is never at games in Russia. And ordinary officials from Kopiev's team are just too lazy to organize home games, so they are even happy to play all games on a visit. And get business trips to Europe, America and Hong Kong with the team.
They really did not expect that Losarbiridze's elections would lose by a big margin. Now they are engaged in sabotage, and perhaps hide documents where corruption is visible.

Well, that was released by the Cook Islands Rugby Union some months ago... maybe they have changed the date. I don't remember an anoucement from the Mexican Rugby Union.

The Brazilian Rugby Union has anounced the match against the Cooks for June 24th.

Looking forward to this one. Like the Chile van Korea fixtures in November this to me demonstrates a genuine sustained effort to expand rugby globally rather than focus on the same 10-12 countries over and over.

How can you be the president of a national federation and live in another country? That's beyond absurd.

I doubt he will remain much longer when outsiders have a look at the recent RUR election.
