Very interesting to see Mantvydas Tveraga (Piancenza). Him and Navickas could make a very strong second row

I don't know which games RugbyEurope.TV will be streaming but for Austrians at least, the Austria - Slovenia game will be shown live on ORF Sport+

Had a look as I thought that Italy U20 was the second team. It is now, but 2006 it wasn't. According to http://www.worldrugby.org/regulations/n ... ative-team you are right and at that time Italy A was the second team. Bad luck for Lithuania.

Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

Does that mean that he can't play? Or that if he played his team would be disqualified?
I've never heard about a test match with the final result changed due to a player which hadn't the right to play, while it happens quite often in italian championships

Good question.
I would also think that the same as in a league game would be applied. 50:0 and 5 table points.
All we know is that, if 4N source is correct, he is simply not eligible to play for another nation than Italy.
He hasn't played 7s for LIT, right?

Edit:
according to this:
http://www.worldrugby.org/wr-resources/ ... ation8.pdf

At least a 25.000 GBP fine applies. If somebody knows the LIT-officials they should be contacted to double-check - I mean the link by 4N could still be simply stating wrong games he has never played in.

Mantvydas Tveraga has played against Czech Republic.

It's sad that Jonas Mikalcius is still absent, while Hartpury College is already the winner of the National League One.

Also a former kazak national team player is playing since some years for Uzbekistan. Perhaps World Rugby turns a blind eye for minnow test matches; it's hard to explain in other ways these blatant infractions to the eligibility rules

It's here on the official FIR website that Tveraga played for Italy A vs Romania in 2009: http://www.federugby.it/index.php?optio ... Itemid=711

It's listed here via the official World Rugby site that Italy A were the FIR's nominated A-side at the time (meaning caps are binding for eligibility):
http://pulse-static-files.s3.amazonaws. ... e_2012.pdf

Here's an interview in Lithuanian where Tveraga talks about playing for Italy A and not being able to crack the full Azzurri side. No mention of playing 7s for Lithuania, only that he has a Lithuanian passport (which doesn't matter): http://www.15min.lt/sportas/naujiena/re ... 671-716254

And lastly an article from Lithuania when he was picked to face Czech Republic. Again no mention of playing 7s and it lends the impression that it was his debut for Lithuania: http://www.delfi.lt/sportas/kitos-sport ... d=72838196

Could it be that the decision of the italian federation to commute the "next national team" from A/Emerging to U20 is retroactive?
Id est, Tveraga could have said: "yes, I played in the past for Italy A, but now FIR have decided that the second national team binding for eligibility is the U20 team so those mine games with the A team are no more influent"

While this case isn't stated directly in the regulations, it would make no sense by World Rugby to even list which teams were the official second national teams on their webpage for every year. Hence I doubt this loophole exists.

Lithuania lead Luxembourg 12 - 9 at halftime after a try just before the break despite being down to 14 after a yellow card.

Final score Lithuania 24 - 12 Luxembourg

Austria against Slovenija wasn´t advertisement for the sport, but better broadcast a bad game than no game. I´m really surprised about the comfortable win but imagine a non A-Team on Slovenian side. Good for my flags [?]who need 1 point against Sebia to continue for 100%
