To my understanding Agro Direito was the semi between 2-3 placed teams so Belenenses was 1st anyway even before the final, right? I though it is the better club.

No Belenenses beat Cascais in the other semi. Cascais with several currie cup south africans. The violence between Direito and Agro meant they were kicked out the league and Belenenses awarded the title by default.

First we should know who is receiving invites from EPCR... Unless the competition is expanding, there are only four invitations outside Italy.

Timisoara participation is a surprise for me, a very pleasant one.

Still the elimination of HRK is an idiotic thing for European rugby. Rugby fans are wondering for ages how it will be if countries like Spain or Germany will be rugby countries. When a slim chance appears they throw it away like nothing...

A bad blow would be a renounce by HRK. If the rules don't change or if that interests conflict is not somehow resolved, it will be almost pointless for them to participate

I’m a Timișoara suporter but furios over the HRK disqualification. They earned the participation. It is, like most things in rugby when the home nations are not involved, just unfair. It is this behavior towards small (rugby) nations that hinders the development of rugby worldwide.
The problem is, neither Timișoara refusing challange cup participation, nor HRK refusing further continental shield participation, would change anything for the rich boys. I love this sport, I played for almost 20 years but sometimes I’m ashamed about the “rugby way”.
