Are you nuts ? Watch the game. This was an awful show. The competition lost any credit it can have from last season. I better understand why EPCR is giving up.

agree with you. Overall awful rugby from both sides, except first try from Batumi.

Khmaladze`s tactical kicking was spot on. Didn`t watch the first half, but in second half, RC Batumi dominated the scrums. Overall they outplayed HRK in attack and defense. Well deserved win.

Petrarca v Rovigo: vince Padova 18-13.

I was thinking exactly at this after I watched today Romania A vs President XV , a match with plenty of tries (36-35). Also seeing the loss of Castres, I imagine if one of the Continental clubs' or Russian ones from Challenge Cup would have been defeated at such a margin surely we would have heard voices that these clubs aren't good enough.

Timisoara have many foreigners especially in the backline

The team is coached by kiwi Grainger Heikell and former All Black Sosene Anesi

More than 20 of their players are romanian internationals, some of them played in major leagues like Pungea (Top14), Badiu and Maris (ProD2) or Fercu (Premiership). There are also foreigners who are playing for Romania thanks to the 36 months rule like centre Umaga (ex-Tasman Makos), baby bok Jody Rose (ex Golden Lions) or powerful tongan winger Fonovai Tangimana.

The team also have in their ranks few others international players like fijian scrumhalf Henry Seniloli (16 caps, ex Benetton Treviso), tongan winger Will Helu (23 caps, ex Wasps & Edinburgh) and fijian prop Mesake Doge (1 cap).

They halso have a lot of foreign players, who played at various level. Most notables are english flanker James Doyle (Sale Sharks), australian flyhalf Stefano Hunt (Western Force), australian centre Brian Sefanaia (Australia Sevens) or samoan backrow Michael Stewart (Southland)

You need an update :) Matt Williams is head coach now and they have a new forwards coach but I forgot his name (Roach?). Anese is still at the club. Also worth mention all Oaks players from Timisoara

BTM-HDL Live Game Sheet [edited]>>

http://files.rugby.ge/oqmi/_MZA/2017_10 ... TM-HDL.htm

HDL were missing jerseys # 9, 15, 22, 23 -- why, I'm NOT aware of

From the outset, their manager marked with * (asterisk)
those FOUR without jerseys

At 55' HDL replaced #10 Armstrong (apparently) by Hittel
who took off #16 jersey from hooker Fairhurst
and put on himself, but the Manager did NOT tell this to Game Secretary

At 61' came on Vollenkemper in jersey #5 vacated by already replaced Rodriguez

At 67' came on hooker Fairhurst dressed in jersey #3, taken off from Dickinson

When the latter (Dickinson) was replaced, is NOT clear -- probably at HT

Off course, I could check VIDEO (but I'm fed-up by doing other people's job)
and can still check substitution cards (when I have got them on Monday)
but this CHANGE is NOT recorded in either of Game sheets -- GE Live | EN hand-written

So, I assume HDL manager simply FORGOT to inform 4th and 5th Officials,
or Game Secretary (may be) missed that card

At the very same 67' Ball came on in vacated #4, and
at 69' Kopp appeared in vacated #10

NO FURTHER COMMENT FROM ME --
it's clear where this COMP stands and how un-professional HDL are

*PS* They can say there was a color clash -- but this is NOT true
as EPCR had sent jersey choices for all FOUR rounds well in advance to all 8 teams --
I've seen that document

Yes, he is forwards coach, signed in September I presume (that's when I first heard of it) but Timisoara doesn't look now like a team with a coached pack. New coaching team will have some hard time, they didn't signed players, only worked with what they found at the club and they have had plenty of long term injuries to deal with.

With great elegance and fair-play the president of Petrarca Padova said, according to a newspaper: "these experiments with georgians, french or tongans (referees) are useless; whoever sent here these social impaired ("disadattati sociali", "social misfits") has to be ashamed. They are mysterious object collocated in the middle of the field. I'll write to someone about".
The Petrarca president also criticized the Shield: "just 500 people at the stadium, it's the sign that this cup has no beauty and no appeal"

This fatty misfit about Shota?
EPCR should discipline him for such a disparaging comment ...

We did not like Carlo Damasco and his ilk, but never called them CHEATS in public
