Zimbabwe vs Kenya Rugby Africa Gold Cup 2017
This should be a very exciting test match. With Kenya coming off playing Senegal, The Simbas picked up several injuries due to the dirty play by the Senegalese.
The game will be in Bulawayo, where the Kenya Simbas beat the Zim Sables 61 -15 last year.
Match lists to follow up in the coming days.
Date : 22nd July 2017
Venue: Bulawayo Zimbabwe
Time : 1530 hrs (E.A.T)
Game to be broadcast live on Kwese Sports

The game last year was at the Police Grounds in Harare not Bulawayo. The ground being used in Bulawayo is Hartsfield.

Probably would be at the same level with Namibia...but since 2015 qualifiers I saw only understrength Zim teams ...

sorry, didn't know the specifics. My point is the Kenya Simbas put 61 over the Zim Sables. I hope we will have a happy hunting ground in Hartsfield too.

Re: Zimbabwe vs Kenya Rugby Africa Gold Cup 2017
There has been a big change in Zim rugby and the 61 point Kenya scored against us and the Uganda loss were statements made by certain factors within the game here. This weekends game will be a different story. We will add to our 12 wins against the Simbas, not to the 4 losses.

Sables4EVA, I have never understood why zimbabwe rugby keeps on switching venues for test matches. For England, they are always held at Twickenham, In Uganda it's either Legends or Kyadondo grounds, and in Kenya it's always the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi. What could be the main reason for Zim always changing grounds? Is it that the ZRU don't have permanent grounds or what is it? previously games were held at Prince Edward high school, then moved to Police Grounds and now Hartsfield. Kindly explain further. Thanks.

Ahem!
NAIROBI, Kenya, Jul 19 – The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced that 2018 international tests will be spread across the country in a move to develop the game in the regions.
The KRU board seeks to bring international 15-a-side rugby closer to the grassroots and increase the game’s popularity and visibility. The Union said that the move is consistent with the practice in major rugby playing nations like South Africa, New Zealand and Australia who rotate test matches across
KRU has earmarked Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, Machakos and Kakamega as potential regional venues and has pledge to support the regions in the logistics of the matches as the requirements of test rugby are significantly higher than domestic competitions.

Thanks Ser Podrick.
For the same reasons posted above, to spread the game to other regions. Bulawayo is buzzing with excitement over the Kenya game. There is also other issues because some of the grounds like Police Grounds are used for soccer.

Ironically, i put that post just when our union were doing the same thing. Makes complete sense.

Congratulations Kenya, well deserved win 41-22.
Lacklustre performance by Zimbabwe, expected much better after last weekends result.

Re: Zimbabwe vs Kenya Rugby Africa Gold Cup 2017
If Kenya survives the first 20 minutes in windhoek, then we can beat Namibia. They always come hard at us mauling tries and opening a lead gap too big to be covered. However, Kenya's forwards are much better this season and should match the Namibians.

True, we need to be solid the first 30 mins. But Namibia in Windhoek is a different story. If we go with the discipline the Sables had, we can surely bag a victory.
