Oh cmon, still easier than RWC. Fiji and Tonga unlikely to have the best teams since there's no qualification at stake.

Are you being overly modest here?
Or are you telling us that Spain doesn't have a plan for how to prepare themselves for the RWC?
That they won't have continuity in their selection?

Because the last years Romania have been very competitive against the PI's, regularly winning. You'd say that Spain should be able to do as well.

I don't think Spain will change in the short run their June window selection policy, that means sending Fédérale 1 and Liga Heineken players and letting Top 14 and Pro D2 guys rest. I even can see this policy being applied for 2019 REC too if we qualify this Sunday. Preparing a RWC means robbing French clubs of their players for two months at the very least, which is a good enough reason to employ them as little as possible until August 2019.

If we manage to avoid RWCQ play-off, I'd rather go to Nations Cup (OK, now the door is closed) or Brazil. USA and Canada could be hard but OK. But Fiji and Tonga in June and away is a terrifying thought. Strictly personal opinion.

And let's be honest, a one-off win doesn't make us as good as Romania.

P.S: I'm running out of clean underpants.

I don't see much of a difference between Tonga and USA at the moment. Certainly not a "terrifying" difference. Fiji and Canada are substantially different, though.

No, simply a bit more cautious than you. And many of my countrymen, by the way. Some commentaries this week have been quite embarrassing.

I wonder if Russia will tour North America now since Romania qualified and Spain is the playoffs with Portugal / Samoa.

Two of the East Euros toured NAM last June. GEO was one of them. Tbink ROM was other so Russia could be likely now Spain will be otherwise detained.

So it seems like we should be playing Romania after all this June. We have an extra spot, wouldn’t mind playing Spain and Romania

Except for the fact Romania seems headed to the Pacific and Spain is playing a two legged qualifier against Samoa. The only logical country left to come over now that Germany has imploded is Russia. Hopefully they offer better competition than two years ago. Would have been nice to get the Maori ABs up for a summer tour.

If they gather the entire team Russia isn't bad at all.

Now updated to just 'European opposition' but in the original posted on Tuesday it was showing as Portugal and Germany:-

The Kenya Rugby Union has appointed New Zealander Ian Snook as the head coach of the Kenya fifteens national team, the Simbas.
<snip>

The duo is currently working with the technical team of Dominique Habimana, Charles Ngovi, Richard Ochieng, Chris Makachia and Simiyu Wangila on their catches against European opposition in the run-up to the Rugby Africa Gold Cup which doubles up as the 2019 Rugby World Cup Qualifiers.

Confirmation from the World Rugby site for some games: http://officiating.worldrugby.org/index ... ents&id=65

Canada & USA play Russia (and Scotland), then each other.

Maybe it's a prize.

I am not sure if Romania's tests will still stand.
