Hello,

Firstly, Turkish National Team will participate Rugby Europe Development League, Rugby Europe 7s Conference 1 and U18 Rugby Europe 7s Trophy in 2018.

Secondly, revamped Turkish Rugby Leagues will started at February 2018. TR1L, TR2L, TYR1L, TYR2L, TKYRL and U18 7s Championships will be held in this season.

Finally, UniLig Rugby Sevens tournament has started at this month. Anadolu, İstanbul, 19 Mayıs, METU, Trakya and Ankara Universities are advanced to men's finals. Anadolu, İstanbul, 19 Mayıs and Ankara Universities will compete women's tournament.

Good news. I think Turkey has potential in rugby if they decide to take it seriously.

Sorry for a question extra-rugby, Erginclass. Maybe I've already asked it in the past. Here in Italy Erdogan has been described like an obtuse governor, going to a sort of theocratic dictatorship after the failed golpe. How is now the life there in Turkey? Normal? Or you feel some absence of freedom?

Hi Erginclass, thanks for the update! I have a few questions;

What happened last year? Turkey were listed but all matches were forfeited.

Is there a website where we can keep up to date with the results/standings throughout the season?

Do you have a list of all of the teams competing in each league and their location/the city they play in? I'm interested to see the geographic spread of the teams.

Are the teams largely made up of locals or expatriates?

Thanks for all of your help!

Of course. TRF take trustee from government due to former federation chairman's ban.

After the elections, Murat Pazan was elected new federation chairman. From first day to today, most of the people from Turkish rugby society are satisfied from this management.

At The Turkish National Rugby Team, they disqualified to all Conference 2 matches by Rugby Europe's AGM in 2015. After that, they relegated to Rugby Europe Development. Today, current management repairing relations with Rugby Europe Directors.

At the domestic rugby, they doesn't any matched in June - December 2016. In result, Rugby League of Turkey is emerged. Although this year has more match are held compare to previous years. Because Turkish U18 Rugby Sevens Championship, Turkish Women's Rugby Sevens Championship and Turkish Rugby Sevens Regional League is played in this year.

Today, they have a modern website. http://www.trf.gov.tr You look last matches and last news from the federation.

Finally, I don't say exactly true. Because TR1L and TR2L teams didn't published by federation. I wait to next days. Although, I can say active teams from Turkey.

This reformation of Turkish rugby is excellent news. Turkey were doing so well on the international stage, then collapse. But the rugby community looks like being as strong as ever and if the admin can hold together only good will come.

Has there been lots of influence from Georgia given their proximity? Surely being next to a top Tier 2 nation has some benefit on the game in Turkey, or at least provides some competition.

Sivas Kangals RFK connections to Georgia in the last years.

They were matched to Tsikara, Kharebi (U16) and GSTUPES Iberia. They also participated Batumi Beach Rugby Festival in 2016.

Although, Georgia doesn't influence to Turkey. Because they see their own business.

171-0?

What happened?
they must have scored 2.1 ponts in each minute. Unreal result.

This one is normal score in Turkish conditions. Because they are the Turkish rugby record holders. Which one is the 196-0 won against Olimpos RK.

They are agressive during the match and I saw this team at the match. So, I don't suprised it.
