I expect Uruguay to repeat the 2016 results: wins over Brazil, Chile and United States, and losses to Canada and Argentina.

We have a better chance to win away versus Canada, whereas Brazil will be stronger at home.

I bet Uruguay will rest players against Brazil. It is just after 2 tough matches against Canada, travelling long hours...

Canada hasn't named their squad yet because they have no idea who it is. We have a shit load of injuries and forced retirements, won't be surprised if Uruguay beats us actually.

Injury list, that I can remember:

Evans
O'Leary
Paris
carpenter - retired
Beukeboom
Trainor
Hearn
Coe

Some will be back for Uruguay, but won't have any game time to get their fitness back.

Canada and Uruguay's WC Qualifiers Squads, for the most part these will be the same squads through the rest of the ARC. A bit less so for CAN:

A win against the US and loss against Canada, interesting.

I saw that and really wondered too. I assume he feels that the USA is fielding a weaker side for ARC than the home and away Uruguay will play against Canada. For the Canada the stakes are higher and they will be fielding the strongest side they can whereas the USA side will not include all available professionals.

To be honest, our program is not where it was post WC. There's a lot more organization and the players have a lot of ownership. This will be as strong a squad as we can field. And the coaching systems won't be a lot different. I expect to take Uruguay to the wood chipper.

That's possible, but I am a big fan of the ARC roster for the US. I understand there are pros that won't be available by the Uruguay match but I am still a fan of the rest of them. The core is a group of players that were there last year but there are some newer faces with more experience. It was a close match last year so it's not like we blew them out, it's just interesting.

I wouldn't expect that at all. Let's see who is available for that match first. Playing in Montevideo is a much different proposition than playing at home and this Uruguay team is probably as strong as it's ever been in modern times.

I have faith in the the Eagles but I’m not expecting a blowout. We only won by a tryast year and Uruguay will come with a prepared squad considering their training for Canada.

Our last match is against Uruguay and this will give the squad a chance to gel. What I really wonder though is how many of Canada's pros will remain for the 2nd round of the ARC when they come down to Papa Murphy's in Sacramento.

How many of your pros do you think will remain after the Canada series?
