Yes, chance is there, however how big is it?

When it is scheduled? Just in a week!

Today Spain lost a lot of energy. Are they able to be fit for Romania? Besides, Spain should win by more than 7 points (even better if by 10 points, because last year they lost 3-13).

That's doubtful.

I put the three possible options on the Russia v Spain, taking by granted that Romania will earn 15 points in its home games. Spain needs:
- Beating Romania by more than 10, beating Germany and Belgium and clinching one bonus point
- OR beating Romania by more than 7, beating Germany and Belgium and clinching two bonus points
- OR beating Romania, Germany and Belgium with bonus points in every single game

As I've been saying since last season, bonus points are huge life insurance for Romania and they shouldn't be too worried. And after today's game I prefier Spain is Europe 2, it will be way fairer and less of a scandal.

First part is difficult but doable if the things go Spain way as today. Unlikely though. Second part shouldn't be a problem.

Bonus Point win against Germany is safe, against Belgium will be tough. Watched the game today against us and they came here with an intent at least. And they have fighting Spirit. Won't give up a game before it starts like Germany did today. Winning against Romania will be imposible. They look like a really solid team and look really well coached. Win against Samoa and having all their good players it won't be possible.

I just realized that the game is in Belgium, so yeah, getting an offensive bonus will be tricky there, but not impossible if Spain bring their best squad.

thats just so disrespectful to the german players...

yes, they were not able to compete. they were mostly amateurs, a lot of them played their first international game today and most of the team came together just a few days ago.
but you can bet, that they all gave everything they had on the field and fought up to the last minute to lay at least one try.

Is it about the same line up for a game against Georgia next week or more experienced players are expected to play?

i don't know, as i'm not involved in either drv nor wra.

but the situation stays the same for now. so if they don't find an agreement quickly and i guess that won't happen in the next week, we will see almost the same team...sadly.

Germany won Romania in 2017 and what happened yesterday?!

Germany surrendered as soon as they felt they couldn't win and got rain of tries.

I think is harder to have a bonus point victory against Russia at home for Romania than a bonus point victory for Spain in Belgium. Russia looks good.
If we want to go to World Cup we should go in Spain and WIN.

Germany do their best, but playing amateur vs professionals will always gonna have this outcome.Actually is an act of bravery to play in this kind of game, but also very dangerous. I know this from my own experience, playing Dinamo with my amateur team in the past was like going to challenge a MMA champion in a pub.Bad idea. This kind of game is not a good propaganda for REC.
First half was bad for Romania, a lot of handling errors. Second was much better but is hard to have a true picture in a game like this. And yes our T-shirt’s sucks.
@Rugbyliebe impaliaton completed man. Sorry that it was this way, it is not a proper impaliaton without your full strength team.Maybe next year? :)

I actually wonder what the rules are in the line-out. Try 11 was beautifull but the guy Standing in the No9 Position Comes into the line-out. I am not sure about the rules but hasn't one Romanian player to go out the line-out in order to do that? Maybe someone knows. I always thought that in order to come in from the No9 Position one player from the line-out has to step out.

NO WAY. Team is entitled to have ONE or ZERO receiver = #9 at line-out

If there is ONE he should stand 2 metres back from his team's row

Once the ball is thown the receiver MAY go forward and join the row --
even jump for the ball, provided he does not obstruct anybody

And if a team throws the ball into line-out
it can line-up ALL 14 remaining players as a row

Yes. But before the Ball is thrown the front player e.g. Can take 2 steps out of the line-out to his side and the "fake" no9 Can join the line-out and then lift. Saracens did that against Glouster several times.

"fake" no9 Can join the line-out NOTWITHSTANDING what OTHER PLAYERS DO

SARRIES player taking two steps back maybe JUST serves
as a DECOY and freeing some valuable SPACE -- NOT necessary by LAW

Ok... I heard differently. I thought that the numbers in the line-out line must be kept the same. Therefore if the fake no9 joins the line-out-line one has to leave. E.g. 5 men lineout and 2m away the fake no9. The fake no9 Comes in before the thrown and Lifts a player. Then there are 6 men in the line out line. The numbers must be kept the same right? That's my understanding and what I heard from different sources. Maybe I do not explain it properly or I made a mistake.

The numbers must be kept the same

BIG NO - it could be increased by one - de facto, by using Sarries' ploy

The only NUMERICAL limitation re Line-out is that
the opposition team could NOT line-up MORE players
than the throwing team

(( Line-out is not a SCRUM with
8 men compulsory in normal circumstances ))

As for throwing team, they can line-up as many as they wish
and by putting #9 into a gap increase it dinamically just by ONE

NOT more - cause there is just ONE #9 - more is not allowed by Laws

Wrong.
A minimum of two players from the throwing team is required to form a lineout. The maximum is the number of players minus one.

1500 people for a RWC Qualy match? Well, everybody knew Romania would win, but people in Cluj don't like rugby or it was too cold? Come on, 1500 is ridiculous...

The German commentator mentioned that there was a tennis tournament in a hall nearby where everybody went instead of sitting in the cold.

Yes, the Fed Cup was being played nearby. I think that's what it's called. Dunno, don't care much about tennis.
Cluj isn't a "rugby town", by any means. Cluj was chosen because the infrastructure there is great (the stadium). Romania's rugby heartland basically has no functional and respectable stadiums at the moment. I am expecting higher attendance for the Rusia game but it won't be anything jawdropping I think.

Well not really. The stadiums in Bucharest that we could have played on are either too old or under renovation.
In moldova it's snowing badly so that's out of the question.
Constanta stadium is decrepid, so is Timisoara, aparently.
So that leaves Cluj, Craiova and Targu Jiu. In the latter two the people have 0 contact with rugby whatsoever.
The Belgium game is suposed to be played in Buzau who will probably be the new superliga team, but i heard that will likely fall through as the stadium is in bad shape.

Cluj was the only safe bet.
