It looks Victoria will have 3-8 ºC (37-46 ºF) with rain. Not that bad for us.

How familiar are Brazilians with 3-8 Celsius rainy games? That weather isn't going to be pleasant for anyone. Sounds like it will be some sloppy 10 man rugby shitshow. How is the Brazilian pack this year?

We can have such conditions in the southern Brazil during the winter. Farrapos Rugby Clube, current national runners up, is located in the mountain area of the Southernmost state and sometimes hosts matches with 5-10 Celsius, rain and a pleasant fog.

Our pack started strong against Uruguay but declined in the 2nd half... Los Teros scored one try with a maul and another from scrum.

Canada desperately needs a win.

Also, Brazil often plays at Uruguay for the South American Championship in May.

Usually when people think about Brazil they think about Rio, the Northeast beaches or the Amazon forest. But the 4 southernmost states (São Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, the 4 strongest in rugby, BTW) can have "cold" temperatures. It is never below 0 ºC (so, it is not really cold for a North American or an European), but it can be between 5 ºC and 15 ºC. There are even a couple of small cities in the Southern mountains where it SNOWS (well, 1 day in the year, but is snows  )

Curiously, I must say when I visited Toronto in the summer I suffered a hard time with the heat, it was almost 40º C and São Paulo never reaches such temperature :!:

The Great Lakes region of NA gets very humid in summer. But the coastal south gets way worse. In Houston in August you sweat as soon as you go outside.

In the other hand São Paulo is 800m about the sea, 90km from the coast, crossed by the Capricorn Tropic. So not that hot. Without the polution and with more green areas, we would have a perfect climate.

The South...Surprisingly Phoenix is just as hellish...except it's hotter and just as humid.

Jardel is a fan's favorite. But he is injured...

No news about the Canadian 23?

Not posted yet. Often very late releasing it. Honestly I think it's probably more an issue with their communications/website. You'd think WR would mandate a roster release a couple days ahead of time. Kind of dumb on Canada's part as the roster release would ideally drum up interest in the game and should be put out Wednesday.

Canada actually played better last game, cutting out the insane errors. Maybe coaching having an impact?

I am curious. Canada can drop to the 24th place in the Ranking. Kingsley Jones said Canada is the favorite and I agree. I guess he'll try to put his best available XV to break the bad sequence, right?

Canada made misstake to hire Kingsley Jones.

He is not even average coach. He said that his team (Team) almost beat Georgia when Russia lost 33-0.

Russiam team inder his coaching was weaker than today.

Better seek new coach and preferably from Southern hemisphere or French.

Canada has descent squad and as i oserved poor tactics and motivation.

Canada played vs Uruguay like they did not care at all. And Uruguay was playing with a goal to Qualify for RWC.

Anyways Canada must look forward Repechage tournament.

Lineup is out: http://www.rugbycanada.ca/leagues/newsl ... age=103220.

Some new faces, hopefully they show something.

I honestly don't think Kingsley Jones is to blame. The team has produced identical results under 3 different coaches. It's the players. The roster is filled with holes st key positions and our structures don't work. Can't polish a turd unfortunately.

Wouldn't be surprised if we lose to Brazil after they put in a solid shift against Uruguay.

Yeah he wasn't a good hire. His father was Jonah Lomu's agent which is really why his name became known in the first place.

That's a pretty rough squad for Canada... Hopefully some of the young guys can put in a solid day in the office.

I'd rather lose with some new faces in the lineup at least. I'm hoping these guys can put in a workmanlike effort, cut out all of the silly errors and maybe just maybe get a W. Losing to Brazil at home would be the cherry on top to make clear that we suck/aren't likely to win the repechage.

Must be hard for the guys with a ton of caps to basically have a 10% winning percentage, I have to imagine the team morale is low. Guys like DTH and Barkwill have lost A LOT of games.

Sidenote, does anyone know how team selection works in practice? Is it exclusively up to the coach or is it like North American sports where there's a GM of sorts that at least picks the general squad and the coach then picks starters/reserves?

Barkwill again. Unbelievable.

What happened to the young outside centre from Calgary who looked good in the first Uruguay game?
