At least Rugby Moldova seem to be doing more web updates of late although they haven't yet posted a match squad.

Sat 13:00 UTC+02 · Complexul Sportiv Raional Anenii Noi

Im going to go with a Portugal win here, but it needs to be a comprehensive one and not a "get ouf of jail" one like against Switzerland.

I know fairly little about Moldova, but going to assume a powerful front five for at least 60 minutes.

Well, the Portuguese squad is missing almost all first choices (only two will play), lots and lots of second choices and some third and fourth choices...

Hugo Valente, a fifth choice prop, didn't go to Moldova.

No surprise seeing that our best 7 props weren't called (T. Freitas, F. Fernandes, A. Alves, T. Martins,
C. Spachuck, the one in Spain and the young good one in England). Bruno Medeiros, a fourth choice prop, is also not going to play (he's not injured; personal reasons?)

I really don't understand why guys from Cisneros aren't called. It's not like they are 3,000 km away and there is rarely league in Spain when Portugal plays.

First choice FH José Rodrigues wasn't called for personal reasons. Those personal reasons won't impeach him to play today for his Portuguese club.

No, just a single Facebook update.

EDIT actually you can see it at http://www.trm.md/ro/tv-on-line/

as long as you have Adobe Flash player (very poor quality stream though, keeps stopping)

17 - 5 to Portugal now.

Try for Moldova. stadium looks very "basic" and surface not in good condition.

It's barely watchable anyway TBH, very stop/start. And no on screen scoreboard so you have to hope for play to go where you can see the scoreboard by the side of the pitch

Portugal must have scored again as they have 22 points now (couldn't see what Moldova had) . And now a another Lobos try.

And game over, with no clue as to final score! Portugal may have got 4 tries but Moldova got 2.

Probably 29 - 10 or 12 to Portugal.

A heavy muddy pitch does not suit the way the Portuguese play but was ideal to the forward orientated Moldovan effort. Even if this was a weakened Portugal team the Moldovans did well, especially the lock and Captain Titica and I think they and the Swiss showed there are ways to beat the Portuguese.

There was a breath of relief from Warsaw when Moldova finished without any league points. There is still a chance of Moldova staying up if they beat the Czech Republic in Prague in April with a bonus point and Poland get nothing from the rest of their games. The Czech result against the Swiss today makes this look unlikely and the Poles currently have a 53 points advantage, but the great thing about this division is that you never know...
