Partially his own fault from what I've heard. Ospreys supposedly offered him a new contract but he refused to commit, so they signed replacements by which time most of the other teams had finalised their rosters.

The mess with Ospreys is partly on him for sure but then he had a trial with Harlequins and backed out of it partway through. Seems like he just doesn’t have the heart for it right now. Aside from a nice trip to Bermuda to play no stakes fun rugby.

Is O’Leary injured?

I hope we skip 12 frequently to get ball to DTH.

I guess Sauder is cover at 10?

Was Hearn not quite match fit? I'm surprised to see Blevins/LeSage starting ahead of him. Although Blevins tens to run rampant on Tier 3 opposition and than flounder completely against better teams.

Agree, it feels like at a minimum he should be on the bench. Also weird that Paris isn't on the team sheet but it seems Kingsley is not high on him at all.

I read somewhere that Paris is injured but should be back next week. I'm hoping it's the same kind of situation for O'Leary because that's the only reason I could see him missing out. Surely it isn't a selection decision...but who knows.

“Impressive display by the Canadian lads. Showing the heart and physicality for which Canadian rugby is known worldwide.

Yet another bad call going against the Canadians “

YES! And not even having him on the post game panel was exhilarating.

Some thoughts:

1. Why the hell is Barkwill on for 80? I'm not a huge fan of Howard, but give him some game time.

2. Glad to see Hearn back on the pitch. He may have earned a starting position for the next game.

3. Mike Sheppard getting a try on his debut is great to see, but he plays for my wife's club, so I'm just glad to see a Camel in Red.

4. I'm kind of surprised to hear this was DTH's first hat trick, considering how much he's scored for us in the past.

5. A win like this is a good confidence builder, but if we keep playing like this, we're probably going winless in Japan.

Barkwill isn't a starter now...I don't get it.

Game was awful, not a good look going into the ARC.

If Canada keeps playing like they did in the first half I’m not sure that we’ll ever find out how they’d do in Japan.

The game was interesting, the only time Kenya would/could play is when we kicked to their runners the ball or sit back and let them have the ball.

Going forward a couple things i would like to see.
*more aggression on defence (we sit back and let teams come to us, waiting for them to make a mistake).

*Less aimless kicking,

*Sauder kicking to Goal.

I'm actually pretty happy with it, it looks like they want to play off one a lot, I wonder if part of that is McRorie at 10. Which just brings up the question of why hes there an O Leary isnt.

Canada’s roster to face Hong Kong:

Don't mind going with the same roster really although I still wonder why O'Leary didn't get into the squad at all. Paris for Evans is an even exchange.

Geeze... it's got to be approaching a decade, unless we had a good spell in the ARC that I've forgotten about.
