Re: General topic for African Rugby
I don't think so. It is Zimbabwe A vs Zambia. Zimbabwe is in African tier 1A while Zambia is in 1C.
Re: General topic for African Rugby
But they say there's also a Zim A vs Zam A game.
https://scontent-frx5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/ ... e=59A427F7
I think they could really field the best team in the main game: Africa Cup is incoming and also an unbalanced match vs Zambia could be a good warm-up
Entry ticket is fixed in 2 dollars, and 2 zimbabwean dollars equal to just half a cent of an american dollar. Maybe that symbol $ is meaning US dollar and not Zimbabwe dollar?

The advertising flyer labels the last game as the Sables. That is the test side. Even if Zimb. don't recognise it as a test Zambia probably will.

Yes, but that is not Rugby Afrique, It is Kwese Sports, Africa's FTA sports channel.

That's great! Unfortunately, the only matches we are assured of watching are Kenya's home games. I'm surprised that even Namibia can't provide live streams for their home matches.

Re: General topic for African Rugby
I've seen many strange rugby decisions but this might be in the top10. Why aren't there all 6 teams playing every round? It makes absolutely no sense to let just 4 play and 2 rest. Is there a good explanation for this?
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

The only reason I can think of is that Namibia play on the 18th in the Nations Cup and maybe the travel would make it difficult to play a match on the 24th - but that said it would only apply for the first round and not all the other dates with byes.

In 2016 was the same.

I agree, Namibia is the only team warranted to have a bye in the first week. The rest of the teams should play every weekend. Rugby Afrique should improve on their organisation skills.

Sane 17, All the games will be televised by Kwese Sports, apart from the games in Nairobi, where Zuku Sports have been given the sole broadcast rights. In my opinion, the union should revoke the Zuku contract and hand it over to Kwese Sports due to failure to execute their work diligently. The Zuku internet is pathetic, and Kwese is excellent in terms of delivery.

OK then! Don't forget to share the link for kwese. The last time they promised to air a certain tournament (not sure if it was safland 7s) I didn't find any link. They just had a poster like the above one.

Kwese is an FTA for mostly broadcast t.v. I don't know if they also do internet. You can just watch the games on t.v, but I will definately post a link if I find one.

KAMPALA. Rugby Africa, the sports continental sport governing body has confirmed Uganda as hosts of the 2017 Africa Cup 7s due on the first weekend of October after fending off stiff competition from Tunisia.
After winning the event for the first time last year in Nairobi, Uganda will have the chance to defend their crown on home soil and hope for another shot at acquiring HSBC World Rugby Series core status.
Uganda, Namibia, Kenya, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco, Senegal and Botswana are the confirmed teams. Two more teams are yet to be confirmed.

Our union in collaboration with Rugby Afrique need to give us a tournament also. I mean, the last time Kenya hosted a major tournament was the U- 20 Rugby trophy in 2009. Surely, 8 years ago is too far.
