It's been raining here for 3 days. Not all playing fields here take it well.

Good on Uruguay. Still amazed that a country of 4 million can excel at soccer and really rise in rugby. They’re testing themselves well leading up to the RWC.

Of course Fiji didn't send their top players. Still, winning is better than losing!

Well, it's officially their desiganted second team, and therefore all players are captured for Fiji.

But it isn't really their B side. As they have about 100 or 200 payers playing professionally or semi-pro overseas. This appears to be a team selected from Fiji-based players only.

So basically a Fiji Residents XV, or the Drua in another shirt.

Uruguay kit looks really bad with those baby blue shorts. No matter how tiny or big they are.

Black shorts is classic Uruguay. You see a team wearing sky blue shirts and black shorts you immediately think '"that's Uruguay". Why would a small country like Uruguay not embrace the fame of their kit, even if that fame was created by their football team?

Soccer is simply the abbreviation of Association Football which is what the sport is actually correctly called. FIFA means International Association Football Federation (grammar in French federation international de football association).

The nickname Soccer was invented btw by the English. Football in English is widely used for all Football games, as football is not just a sport, but also a group of sports.
Of course a die hard soccer-fan will always say it is called football and threaten to beat you, but soccer ist absolutely correct.
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

Congratulations to Uruguay

Italy defeated Fiji 29-27 but the Warriors had two men red carded (35' and 45') and two yellow-carded (51' and 77'), so our team played more or less fifteen minutes 15 v 12 and half an hour 15 v 13 and despite this they won by an inch. All in all it has been a mediocre tournament by Emerging Italy and many fans now on the social media are asking: "what's the point on competing on the other side of the ocean with a team composed by men which never played together before?"

What happened this year? The last year was find but 2018 is IMO a fiasco. The pitch was in an awful state and assistance was very small.
