Number of players vs quality of coaching
When trying to grow the game, what's more important... the number of registered players or the quality of coaching they get?
I would say it's the quality of coaching. The US and Japan each have more players than Australia, the PIs, Scotland, Italy and Wales, yet in most cases they are significantly behind those countries. On the other hand you have Georgia with a few thousand players going from strength to strength on the basis of good junior coaching and exporting the best players to France.
