8-0 ten minutes in. Oof.

Scrums are better than I was worried. Gareth is already complaining about the ref.

“Putting phases together, not necessarily advancing”

I miss having destructive ball carrying forwards.

Our tight 5 shouldn’t carry the ball.

Well that yellow card ruins a solid ten minutes.

Barker hits a player 20 metres away from the ball.

Rees is retarded. Diving at a knee 10 seconds after a ruck is gone is a yellow every day if not a red.

“He was bound” wtf?

Dirty play. Embarrassing play and embarrassing comment.

Does Gareth just hit up the beer tent pre-game?

Bring back Spanton, Brian is a slight homer but retains credibility and isn't brain dead.

He's every bit as obnoxious as Don Cherry, but without the knowledge of the sport.

He was the exact same playing VRU 2nd Div after his pro career. Couldn’t move, just chirped ref all game with gut hanging out of shirt.

DSD runs so upright. No push or punish at contact.

It's AWFUL, I've seen him held up a pile of times now, even if he manages to go to ground it takes forever and the ball is slowed.

He is no better now than when he debuted.

Well going to ahve to miss the 2nd half, going to a stag and doe. It looks like Scotland's heading to a win but Canada's defence has been just good enough to prevent a gargantuan defeat.

Honestly, not the shellacking I was expecting thus far.

1. Scrums are pretty solid; We're being pushed hard, but Scotland isn't running us over.
2. Canada's making tackles and immediately getting up and rejoining the play, which they haven't been lately.

We need to stop kicking away possession (what else is new), and do better on offence to make the gain line, but still, not a bad start.

We were nowhere close to putting together a try, but some huge areas of improvement.

“He was bound” wtf?

Dirty play. Embarrassing play and embarrassing comment.

Rees’ comments were dumb but I thought the Scot dragged the Canuck forward causing him to fall into his own knee. The Canadian was likely trying to ruck but think that incident was more self inflicted than deliberately malicious.

Could be. I thought it looked like he went for the knee. I’d need to see a better replay (and concentrate).

Definitely better than I expected. Very little actual forward movement offensively but the defense has been better than I have seen in two years. we don't have much success attacking the ball and the scottish forwards seems to always break the gainline but we have bent but not broken constantly
