It would be good if Namibia won the JWRT, so as to allow other African nations a chance to go through too.

That makes sense. What about just a u20 or high school team that competes in the local league? Doesn’t have to be at quality academy level but just something to help build local interest at the youth level. My club even has a HS team (and pays very little attention to it but at least it exists).

Namibia and Canada where the revelations of this competition until now in my opinion. Canada lost their games in dramatic fashion but showed a lot of rugby. Namibia looks like the best team in competition but they need to win against Samoa and Fiji in 2 successive games. Not the best schedule for them indeed.

Nobody will allow anything. If namibia wants to advance in U20 Championship than they must fight their way up.

Allowing ia a bad word, deserving is good. Good luck to Namibia

I think he's saying that it would be good if Namibia won the JWRT so they moved up and another African country can participate in the JWRT.

It would be very interesting to see a underdog winning and being promoted and Namibia showed quality indeed.

This is bull St, World Rugby has to make sure referee knows the basic rules before appointing to judge international match.

This is not funny, quality must be increased!!!

I am shocked with this unprofessional approach.

Let me insist, if the same referee was in Portugal v Canada and Romania v Samoa, the verdict is clear: he should already have been sent home.

The same guy, stand up comedian&rugby ref on the same package. Great value for the ticket money!

Samoa - Namibia live here: https://www.facebook.com/worldrugby/vid ... live_video
Namibia leading with 18-15. Samoan discipline is awful...they just can't tackle by the rules.

34-21 for Samoa. Two yellow cards for Nam is really destroying a quality game.

Referee is not up to scratch, both teams are being penalized for stupid decisions.

41-21 Samoa.

7 Yellow cards in the match, super frustrating trying to watch this game.

41-28 for Samoa, final score. Not a good match, think Fiji will probably win the Trophy.

Samoa wins 41-28. I feel for Namibia, they showed some good rugby. Ref was decisive in this game unfortunately, somehow he was too present in a very open game.

This had the potential to be a really tight match, but the quality of the officials was really poor.

Fiji - Canada 53-26. The scoreboard looks nasty but it was a tight game until the last 15-20 minutes when Fiji turn it up.I don't want to be in the Canadian team place. They were there for most of the time in all 3 games.

FT 35-56

It surprises because it's Romania and they are hosting the tournament, but in the end we are talking about Europe #12 with lots of injuries and U18 against Asia #2. It could happen and it happened.

What make me raise eyebrows is the huge difference between HK against Samoa and Romania and their abysmal performance against Namibia.

I predicted Namibia's win. I was wrong. African team is very nice, but they lack physical strength. In rugby it still matters.

Well let's see what happens in the final: Fiji vs. Samoa. I expect very tied game.

Anyway this trophy was of a higher quality rugby than last two ones.

One of the worst performances, if not the worst I've ever seen on Arcul de Triumf from a Romanian team of any level and it was especially painful as with Samoa it was an observable improvement. The big issues were noted already , defense, handling, positioning and a emotional fragility which makes them non responsive after one mistake. Awful performance, I wish I didn't attend this match.

Congrats HK, good win! Painful to watch especially because i was at the stadium. And is not over, Canada will give us another rugby lesson because they look like a real team. Probably we should won the HK game if we kept the 8 man rugby game plan, but we tried to play normal rugby and we are not able to do that. Awful handling and no tackling at all.
We must take everything from the scratch but i m not sure we have the resources to do that.
