I honestly prefer 40 min matches than this. At least it is fair with everybody playing everybody. This shit format WR created for the Nations Cup is a cancer everywhere now. South America, Europe...

An involuntary mocking line...

"France U18 will play with Wales and England to prepare the European Championship".
But there are not France and the other 6N in the Euro U18 Championship. Probably they refer to the U18 6N Festival, which evidently they consider the "real" European Championship

Bad result for Georgia U20. very good team but they lack integrity at this point.

Interesting what will they do for South Africa test series. Anyways good match to build the team despite defeat vs France U19

England v Italy, to start in forty minutes. Anyway I suppose it's geoblocked (at least in England) because it's shown live by Sky Sport England

Ireland v France, to start in few minutes, should be on this pirate but clean link to France 4

The pitch at Bedford has a fairly prominent slope, as well as a "hollow" or dip in one corner, I'll let you decide which way round they played ...

Ha, I only skimmed through it but that’s not surprising. The English players were physically dominant.

The Georgian ref went off early with a cut btw. Tough break.

I watched only one game of Italy (against France), and they looked wonderful  Little bit more self confidence and they will be even way better!
How they looked in previous matches?

Interesting to note that if Japan had off beaten Ireland in last years Junior World Cup the grand slam winners for this year would have been player in the Junior World Trophy

Good to see Wierenga back to play U20s after his stint in NZ.

as mentioned by you back here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=65&p=96051&hilit=wierenga#p96051

It's weird how close the name Wierenga sounds and spells as a Maori name, yet it is Dutch.

This is how it is pronounced in Dutch: https://www.howtopronounce.com/dutch/wierenga/
Foreigners usually struggle with the Dutch "g" sound so it gets pronounced differently when people travel abroad.

Yes he is the son of Oaks' centre best known for 1995 RWC as player and Oaks' coach in 2011.

Yes, doesn't sound the same as the imaginary Weirenga Maori name I had assumed it was.

Spells almost the same if your a bit dislexic with the ordering of i and e.
