You feel with a descent coaching structure{get some NZL coaches over there some how}and you would feel close losses could have been big wins.
Hopefully with major league being successful structures can be put in place from the ground up.

Age Grade systems is pay to Play. Then Salty Thompson runs his own camps through a corp called EIRA, so for the money it's probably better to send your kid to Otago Boys School.

Isn't there some sort of continental rotation? It would look a bit weird to see Brazil host only two years after Uruguay did.

Hosts of the Trophy since it has a 8-teams format:
2008 - Chile
2009 - Kenya
2010 - Russia
2011 - Georgia
2012 - USA
2013 - Chile
2014 - Hong Kong
2015 - Portugal
2016 - Zimbabwe
2017 - Uruguay
2018 - ?

I painted the same continents.

You won't get a reaction to this here in the church of "Italy is going down".

Netherlands U20 have a friendly against Portugal before the seniors play their RET match on Saturday. It will be a good test for the Dutch before the U20 championships. According to the Dutch site these take place in Portugal in April but I can't find it on Rugby Europe site any more though. Last year Portugal thumped the Dutch 42-5, and went on to win the championship. The Netherlands finished 7th, avoiding relegation, so it will be good to see if progress is still being made.

I watched this match, very good to see Italy well in the U20s. They are improving in the U20s...

Belgium's U18s plan two games against fellow competition rivals Romania and the Netherlands before the U18 Rugby Europe Championships begin in March.

Tomorrow's evening Ireland v Italy will be shown live too by www.therugbychannel.it
It should be available worldwide, I think (but I'm not sure). In Ireland RTE 2 shows it live in prime time; it's meaningful about the popularity of rugby over there

Anybody know if the U20 European championships has been cancelled?

It appeared in a document in November (pdf here) but seems to have disappeared from the rest of the website. According to the pdf it should be April 7-15 in Portugal.

Some nice heads and hands between the azzurrini; this was perhaps the best action of Ireland v Italy (finished 38-34)

Romania U18 are playing training gamis in Amsterdam this week. On Wednesday:

Belgium U18 28-14 Romania U18
Netherlands U18 37-22 Romania U18

Tomorrow in Castricum there is NLD U18 v NLD U17 and NLD U18 v ROM U18

I don't know how that works with 2 matches on the same day. Maybe 2 full squads? Or shortend matches?

It was 57-0 and a rejected French try via TMO when they were about to kick the conversion after only 50 minutes. Hopefully that halted their streak.

Final score : France 78-12 Italy

France looks really really strong this year, putting 78 pts to Italy just a week after scoring 69 pts to Scotland.

After 3 games, they've scored on average more than 60 pts per game
