Georgia U18 coach:

"This is the Final. We will aim only on victory. We dont want to show good rugby and lose with few points, we want to fight till the end of 80th min and who knows which team will be victorious."

Squad for France: 3 changes due to light injuries.

till the end sounds very boring so thats my own translation.

I think thats better in English. Literal translation would cause misunderstanding

Final matches in the Trophy:

Final: NED 11 - 20 RUS
3rd/4th: GER 14 - 18 ROU
5th/6th: POL 10 - 32 CZE
7th/8th: LUX 36 - 24 UKR

Congratulations to Russia. I'm very pleased with how the Dutch did too, things are going in the right direction in the youth and hopefully this will keep supplying the senior team with talent in the future.

Probably our best game in the tournament. Let's see if next year we enjoy an easier quarterfinal.

France wins it 36-18. Congrats to them. Congrats to Lelos as well. Only 18 point loss to France at U18 is very good. I expected a much bigger scoreline considering previous meetings between these two. Next up, Georgia v France at U20 World Championships in Georgia.

Verry solid game! Not only the scoreline but the game itself was much more balanced than the previous years, with a little bit more luck the game could have been tight till the end.
Abzjandadze, Zjorzjoliani and Dzagnidze had a great tournement. Especially Abzjandadze he has a great boot and sees spaces, I wouldn't be surprised if he became the new Lobzjanidze. Let's see how he does at the JWRT i'm looking forward to it!

Congrats guys. After the first half I feared the result would be close to previous finals, but your team responded quite well.

Congrats France and well played. Georgia had more ball in the second half and showed what they were capable off.Its tough playing against nations that have had rugby in there blood for countless years and new nations like Georgia playing catch up. They are getting better, and the scores are getting closer. Targeting Scotland,Argentina,Wales, at under 20 world cup is there next goal,as they are now clearly better than Fiji,Samoa,Canada,USA,Japan,Italy at this level.
One last thing what a bloody disgrace having Canada under 19 playing England and the celts plus followers Italy in there under 18 tournament, talk about a slap in Georgias face.

I reckon, he meant what the format of the games itself is. Semi-finals and than finals or round-robin or whatever?
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

It's knock-out. So basically, Last year's winners Namibia meet newly promoted side from the Silver Cup Madagascar, then Position 2 from last year who are Zimbabwe meet position 3 Kenya. The winners of each match square it up in the final, while the loosers fight it out to be retained in the Gold Cup.
Last team gets relegated to the Silver Cup, while winner grabs a ticket to Montevideo. :)

Definately amz, if I get a stream, ill post the link. Problem is Madagascar has one of the lowest Internet penetration levels in Africa, it's gonna be a challenge getting a stream, but ill do my best guys to search for a link. :) .

Tommorrow's game between Zim U-20 and Kenya U-20 should be a thriller. Fierce rivalry between these two bunch of kids. Namibia should be able to whitewash Madagascar at least a cool +40. No competition there. Hehehe

It's basically Semi-finals then finals. It would be much more exciting if it was a round robin.

Serbia seem to be doing quite well in the U18 Conference 2, with wins over Israel and Croatia both of whom are higher ranked at the seniors level.

Serbia 26 - 18 Israel
Serbia 10 - 6 Croatia.

Serbia to play Switzerland in the final.
