It should be fun

Starting tomorrow at 10.30 local, 15.30 in Central Europe

(Un)fortunately in Italy no one bought the television rights, so we may follow all the matches free and live on www.worldrugby.org/u20

Just had a look how to watch this.
https://www.world.rugby/u20/where-to-watch

Best part for me: "For fans who live in other countries or territories where broadcast coverage isn’t available, subject to certain geo-blocking, the Championship is also being streamed LIVE here on the website".

Looking forward to see some games. As always when Germany doesn't play, I'm with Georgia first and then Argentina second. In Pool B my sympathy lies with Italy. I guess none of my favs will win it though :D

Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

The pitch doesn't look great for the GEO v NZ game, and it is difficult to believe NZ was not offside when GEO were on the try line but the role reversal had the Georgians blown up immediately...

HT : NZ 19-6 Georgia

Georgia defended very well, except on the last NZ try. Baby black scrum half is always chased by the backrow
fullback Tchitchinadze is impressively good, Abzhandadze plays always right. winger Kavtaradze is really powerful! In the forwards, lock Jincharadze and backrow Iashagashvili were the two that I've most see in action.
Two tries trashed by Georgia, one after a long serie of pick & go, killed by a knock on - another after an impressive break from Tchitchinadze, but Tapladze had a feet outside the lineout when he was tackled.
Guys like Karkadze, Lomidze, Kharaishvili are on the bench, so hope they will made a big impact on the game

Difference in class between ABz and Georgia is there. Meantime refereeing . . . Oh my goodness. Is it the World Cup level?

Chichinadze #15 is not good class player, especially in defense. What we lack in Georgian rugby, no matter senior or junior, is good full-backs.

P.S Did not expect Argies loosing to Wales.

Has ANYBODY read SOMEWHERE
how many subs a team may use?

As per sheets https://www.world.rugby/u20/media
each team names 15 starters + maximum 13 reserves
ie the entire tournament squad numbered 1-28

But to my recollection GEO made at least 10 subs:
6 in forwards + 4 in backs

Dare I ask: WHEN those WR-mix-ups will come to an end?

I see it is too difficult for them to inform wider public
about those endless and useless TWIX and TRIALS...

I didn't read it, but they said at the beginning of Italy vs Australia that the front row can be changed and I think 5 of 10 of the rest.

BTW Italy had a chance to win, but they blew their chances in the first half. 17-0 didn't depict the game at all at half time

Georgia were within a try of NZ until about the 50 minute mark. Much improved from 55-0 in 2016.

Fiji is giving France some challenge too. Let's see when they pull away. Anyone knows how many Fijians grew up in NZ or AUS?

Good effort by Georgia. I'd love to see some of these players in MLR who aren't signed by a French club.

He made a couple of good runs followed by a very impressive one. Then, maybe because of a gain of confidence? he made a lot of useless and nonsense lateral runs

That is very characteristic for that guy. Full-back is like goal keeper in football - a single mistake causes a goal/try. Therefore he is unreliable player.

I don't think any of the Fijians are from NZ.

In fact, I don't think Fiji have ever tapped their diaspora at youth levels.

Besides (my guess) - now with the Fiji Warriors program and the Drua they have a reasonable program to bring some of their youth into their high perfromance programmes as prep for a tournament like this.

The replays/ former live streams on World Rugby's youtube page could work for you.

Those would be blocked on demand
from EXCLUSIVE kiwi broadcasters
SPARK = New Zealand = All Matches

Same applies to RUGBY TV = Georgia = All Games
albeit they have just one channel =
hence, they can't show half of the games LIVE =
and yesterday even experienced several break-ups

I've still managed to watch some four via
http://livetv.sx/en/allupcomingsports/33/
Enjoyed Polish commentary very much for GEO v NZL
