The tournament was designed to grow the six countries, the US has its needs and Argentina has its own. And both must be respected. For Argentina to leave the Super Rugby aside for the ARC would be a pointless and counterproductive step.

I agree.

Maybe make it so that the top team in the previous ARC (bar Argentina XV) gets to play the Pumas.

The Teros were crushed by the Jaguares. One Pumas-Eagles every 2 years is fine with me.

Pumas vs Eagles in South Florida has some commercial potential. Surprised it hasn’t happened already tbh.

I’m perfectly fine with Argentina XV as long as they remain competitive. There is much more inconsistency because it is a 2nd/3rd side so I’d prefer a consistent Pumas team but even if they sent them it would be a weaker version anyway. So far we (USA) have not smoked them enough to demand playing against the Pumas in the ARC. We only beat them once and that came down to the very last play where Hanco came in and knocked the ball out of the Argentine player to prevent a try.

Well, for Brazil the Pumas are bad news. Being thrashed by Argentina is never good news in any sports in general media. For now I am fine with Argentina XV.

Btw, what's your bet for next Saturday’s Argentina XV vs USA?

Argentina (+10)
I feel that Argentina is pretty better this edition of the ARC. Apparently they are working serious and hard this time (unlike other editions). Will be a nice game, as USA will come with full strenght.
But playing home, I suppose Argentina will win.

From all indications, this is a good Argentina squad. And this is also a good USA squad. I expect a battle and hope for a good crowd turnout.

Paul Lasike’s wife is Brazilian. Hopefully he funnels some of that innate anger towards the Argentinians on a Saturday.

This USA squad is as close to first choice as you can get. The changes to Argentina XV have made them better. USA (-5).

Three weeks ban for Arata. Sorry but it's too short, I expected him not to play again in this ARC:

I understand why some may be upset but I think its fair. They also account for the fact that he was redcarded and missed almost the entire canada match (that is compared to if he had done that and avoided punishment in the game). He should never have pulled Coe's head down as he did, but there a lot of circumstances beyond his control that created the situation. He deserved a suspension for his actions, but I assume he showed contrition and apologized for the dangerous situation he created.

3 weeks mean he'll be back for the 2 matches that really matter, USA and Brazil. Uruguay won't need him against Chile. Argentina XV, ok, he'll be missed.

Is there a reason Brasil don't play in yellow jersey anymore?

Guess it's a bit too early for the whole Pumas in the ARC thing
