Fantastic half by Uruguay.

We are still in with a chance of winning the pool.

Oh wow, Uruguay legitimately have Wales on the ropes don't they?

Come on Teros, you represent Latin America so proudly.

Welsh players looked frustrated walking into the change rooms. Uruguay have gotten in the Welsh heads. Let's see how the second half goes.

The players haven't gotten dirtier in their play, they are being asked to do the impossible. If you can get a card despite the fact the have your body in the correct position then something is wrong with the law.

At least 60% of the cards should have been a yellow at most.

Great effort by Uruguay. Most improved T2 nation without a shadow of a doubt.

The highlight of a failed RWC for Tier 2 nations. I think only Teros, Tonga, Namibia and Russia can be proud of what they achieved.

Uruguay may very well be close to being the second best team in the Americas now. The USA are higher on the rankings, but on performance over the last 3 weeks Uruguay have looked a class above.

You mean USA, Georgia, Fiji and Samoa underachieved? I don't think it is a failed RWC for T2s. In fact, 2019 had the smallest biggest margin of T1-T2s matches in the professional era. 63 points (NZ-CAN). In 2015 it was 64-00 (SA-USA).

Yes, except maybe Samoa only because we all knew they were awful. USA lost all its games fair and square, not being close to the one they could aim. Fiji came here looking for a Tier 1 scalp and finished being beaten by Uruguay. Georgia couldn't be close to Fiji and its first half against Wales shadows a decent showing against Australia.

I expected more, sorry.

I'd say the tournament has been a mixed bag. On the plus side, only 5 games where a team scored 50+ points, compared to 8 games four years ago. Defensively the team have improved. Attack however is where the issue is.

On a side note, I genuinely think Argentina should reward Uruguay's progress with a test match each year. It would be amazing for South American rugby to have a proper rivalry.

Yeah, I think mixed bag performance from tier 2 is about right, my view:

Canada - negative
Fiji - negative
Georgia - negative
Japan - positive
Namibia - positive
Samoa - negative
Tonga - positive
Uruguay - positive
USA - negative

I'd say Fiji were positive, they just screwed up against Uruguay. Their games against Wales and Australia showed their true potential.

For me highlights of Georgia were second half performance against Wales, winning against Uruguay and the defensive effort against Australia. First half against Wales and last 20 min. Against Fiji are the lowlights for me.Also despite poor attack, Georgia scored 9 tries, including scoring a try in every game which their best showing ever at the tournament.

USA were very poor. If I'm being honest, Canada shouldn't have even been at the tournament.
