Mind that in Uruguay the Montevideo Cricket played rugby in the 1860s.

Brazil is wrong.

The Brazilian Rugby Union was born in 1963 as União de Rugby do Brasil (URB). It was transformed in Associação Brasileira de Rugby (ABR) in 1972 because it was recognised by the national sports council. But the entity was basically the same, even the badge and the people running it. ABR was transformed in CBRu (Confederação Brasileira de Rugby) in 2010 (the transformation was to become an Olympic entity).

It's curious that Greece seems no more part of Rugby Europe but it's still on the World Rugby ranking.
Maybe you need a continental confederation affiliation to enter in World Rugby but if you lose the continental membership there's not an automatic loss of the World Rugby membership

1972 Brazilian Rugby Association (1963 União de Rugby do Brasil, 2010 Confederação Brasileira de Rugby)

The right is to put it in 1963, not 1972.

Probably someone informed rugbyfootballhistory.com wrong believing there was nothing before ABR. Very common in Brazilian rugby, as people know very little about our rugby history. In Wikipedia someone just added ABR's date without knowing properly the history. I have all the documentation.

I still find it so odd that USAR wasn't founded until 1975, around 40 years ago. Yet countries like Thailand have been around longer and USA has a long history with rugby.

1961 Georgia Rugby Union = without "-n"
formed on 1 DEC as "Tbilisi Rugby Section"

Re-branded as Georgia Rugby Union in July 1989

German Rugby Union - when you are in the top10 of the oldest Unions, played the game 50 years before the Union was found, but haven't played a single Union founded before you in XV.
Rugby administration by the Home Nations in a nutshell.
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

If you mean the Women's games in those years, fair enough.
It would be interesting to know why you didn't state that. Kind of how you normally have a conversation. "Well actually the Women's Union played against the Home Nations and NZ" would have been the thing to write and not "Fake news". Or did you really think those games were Men's XV games?

Women's rugby has its own part in this forum. This part is about men's rugby, so off course I was talking about men's rugby XVs.

Technically, the Canadian Rugby Football Union was formed in 1884... they just diverged on the rules pretty quickly. But they were the Canadian Rugby Union from 1891 to 1967, and are now Football Canada.

Its actually a very fascinating, blurry history between the two. I'm trying to find a date for this mention:

Predecessors of the Canadian Football League and the present-day governing body Football Canada include the Canadian Rugby Football Union (CRFU), established 1882, and the Canadian Rugby Union, established 1892. Representatives from the Montreal (Rugby) Football club (now known as the Westmount Rugby Club), the Toronto Rugby Football Club and from the Hamilton Rugby Football Club had meetings in Toronto and Montreal. It was decided that the union would continue to use the English rugby rules, and at the end of the season the winning club of the Quebec Championship would play the Ontario Champion for the Club Championship of the Dominion.

of following the English rules. It seems to be in reference to the 1892 meeting. But its definite that by 1903 they were playing with very different rules.
