Hong Kong were apparently leading 0-17 just before the break. All the livestreams are local only. Even the guys in Hong Kong don't know what's happening.

If it continues like this, you'd have to assume the Dragons really aren't that far off the pace for a World Cup berth. Surely they'll be there when it's expanded. They'll have gained more invaluable experience through Rapid Rugby by then as well. So far Japan is the only Asian team to have played at the World Cup.

Update: HK's lead apparently extended to 24 points. Make that 29 at HT. It's a spanking!

Better 2nd half from Belgium. Closed to 12-29 after yellow card against HK and a penalty try. 14 mins to go.

Update: Period of sustained pressure brings another try to HK. 12-36 with about 5 to go.

FT 17-36 HK in a canter  8-)

I still think Asia should have had a second place at this world cup. They are up 24-0 now.

It would be necessary an upgrade to the second asian team (probably Hong Kong). In the repeachage tournament they lost against Germany and Canada and defeated Kenya clearly. Canada won that tournament but had a very poor WRC 2019. I could imagine a poorer performance of Hong Kong in the WRC. The increase to 24 teams will require a lot of investment to reinforce the fringe teams (better training, more competition) that will compose the additional 4.
