Re: USA Rugby
From the roster I've received of Scotland I did some math. Starting XV: 12.13 average caps Match 23: 14.2 average caps.

I suppose SLC, San Francisco and Seattle would be some of them.
Houston, Chicago, NYC, Washington DC, San Diego, LA, SF, Sacramento, Phoenix...
If US were to host a RWC I could foresee all those cities except for Phoenix hosting matches. Nothing against Phoenix, it’s just not on the top of people’s minds when it comes to US cities.

Re: USA Rugby
Phoenix isn't a great sports city and the local rugby scene is OK but nothing special. There are probably too many better candidates in the West. Sacramento currently does not have a stadium worthy of hosting RWC matches, but that will likely change by the time a RWC makes it to North America. Still, think they'd probably just put matches in the Bay Area instead. I have doubts about LA, as well, but they probably do it anyway because sports executives always try to get into that market. SF, NYC and Chicago seem like locks, although Chicago won't be part of the 2026 FIFA WC (graft recognize graft?). DC, Houston, Seattle and Denver seem likely as well. SLC, Philly, Boston, KC and somewhere in Florida or Georgia would be solid candidates too. Maybe Columbus and Minneapolis as candidates as well.

Ideally you'd want an even spread of venues to help with travel. You would have to clusters the pools in different areas of the country given its size.
Re: USA Rugby
Scotland: 15 Stuart Hogg (c), 14 Blair Kinghorn, 13 Nick Grigg, 12 Pete Horne, 11 Byron McGuigan, 10 Adam Hastings, 9 George Horne, 8 Matt Fagerson, 7 Luke Hamilton, 6 Tim Swinson, 5 Ben Toolis, 4 Lewis Carmichael, 3 Zander Fagerson, 2 George Turner, 1 Jamie Bhatti
Replacements: 16 Fraser Brown, 17 Allan Dell, 18 Murray McCallum, 19 Grant Gilchrist, 20 David Denton, 21 Sam Hidalgo-Clyne, 22 Mark Bennett, 23 Dougie Fife
USA are having a good chance on this one

Phoenix isn't a great sports city...ok man, that's not accurate. Every local rugby scene is about to become nothing special with the MLR. Our youth Rugby Scene continues to explode, new programs across the valley every spring, kind of wild and awesome. Senior club growth...like what? I actually couldn't believe that new clubs are forming here...whereas the RGRU is now down to four clubs

In the West everything is a plane flight. North of the Mason-Dixon it's a little bit better. But then you'd have to go to the Northeast! WestSide for life.
@BogdanDC insanely youthful side from the jocks.

PHX is a sleeper rugby city to me. Think it has lots of potential there. Nafi Maafu will one day rep them on the big stage.

Re: USA Rugby
Huge congratulations, that was a game worth watching in the middle of the night. At one point I thought the Scots were going to win it.
I thought that try in the first half was key.
Great game for the Eagles well done

Re: USA Rugby
Congrats. What a big win against Scotland!
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

Re: USA Rugby
My recording cut out just before the final conversion! I take it he missed it!!
Great win for USA, to come back from 15 points down at one point showed some really great mental strength.

Re: USA Rugby
I recorded it over night on BBC, my sky+ didn't last to the conversion but I saw the try. I think I'm okay to not see a conversion go wide

Dunno, the number floating was about 10.5k. The atmosphere around the Stadium was rocking which legit beats the three other tests I've been to by far. The FanFest was actually legit. Hundreds of people at the bars around the stadium getting zipped. Then Multiple massive tailgates.

Re: USA Rugby
Might be a bit too early to give credit to MLR for this win but given the US team was all professional players for the first time ever you've got to wonder if we're starting to see the results already from the league's existence.

It most certainly would have helped the situation.
