They also have four Dagestani players, after adding Davudov and good prospect Gadzhiev to go along with Gasanov and Magomedov. Not bad for a region where rugby didn’t exist a few years ago. If someone started a HP academy there, it would become a forwards factory.

Three were taken from "Slava".
Igretsov, Mishechkin and Vavilin.

I think Vavilin will go to Yenisei next year.

In Kuban and Bulava there are several Dagestani and Ossetian players. And the Chechen team Grozny is coached by former coach Bulava Aleksei Bekov who lived long in France. His son Nikita plays in Federal 1 for Suresnes.

Caucasian peoples have great physical strength. Thats why Caucasians are good in Rugby, Wrestling, Judo, Weightlifting, and of course Magomedov who will kick Mcgregor's ass...

I bet Northern Caucasians will produce quality forwards like Georgians. Especially Props

His Pervukhin has long been calling to Krasnoyarsk.
He has a girl studing in Moscow and so he does not want to leave.

But i not sure that he will remain in Slava for next year ...

Who the hell organised the Japan v Russia match? It makes absolutely no sense as to why it's being played in Gloucester. At least Namibia is being played in Krasnodar, hopefully a decent crowd will turn up.

But Russia is their last match and Krasnodar is on the way home. I don't see how travel could really be an issue.

according to RUR social media, Shaun Connor and Mark Bennett (although surname was spelled as "Benot", I think it's him https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Benn ... gby_player)) are coaches of Russia national rugby team.

Does anyone have contacts with the Russian RU to ask why the Japan game isn’t being played in Russia? How is the game suppose to grow in the country if high profile matches aren’t played there? Something has to be done about this, Russia should be hosting matches like every other European team each November. Even games against teams like Brazil, Kenya or Chile would be beneficial. There’s no excuse for this.

Believe me, it's not that the RUR don't want home games, but it's very hard to get teams to come here for a number of reasons.
Japan would of course be perfect guests, geography, there's a thaw in relations and a big Putin-Abe thing going on, but it's the same as always for us... We'll take what we can get as we're not going to get anything if we don't.

Also, yes to former Wales international Mark Bennett and 7s Shaun Connor being Lyn's assistants.

Something’s got to be done. The sport isn’t going to get anywhere if teams aren’t willing to travel to Russia for matches. I don’t see why touring teams can’t play in both Georgia and Russia over consecutive weekends.
