It looks like in coming years we will see a new club in the Russian Premier League - CSKA.

At moment there are no such plans. There is not even an amateur club.
CSKA was created by rugby enthusiasts, club has been around for several years.

I heard Enisey played with 14 men today which lead to their heavy loss. Issuing a correction to Beeman’s earlier tweets.

Was at the Enisei-STM game today, they had Maxim Gargalic sent off after three minutes for what was essentially a clothesline from the view I had.

After this sending off it was practically one way traffic as the score suggests but Enisei had some good moments and it was nice to see Uldis Saulite get a try. All of the scores from Enisei did get clapped by those in attendance and they were clapped off at the end of the match.

Full credit to them for not giving up and they could have managed a point for four tries in the match but just could not manage it, hopefully they will continue to appear in the Challenge Cup as they have for the last few seasons and in time become more competitive as well as hopefully make the Russian Rugby Premier League and Russian Rugby stronger.

Official Attendance by the way was 7,983.

Since I don’t speak Russian, care to summarize? Does CSKA already exist? Who is behind the stadium build? How big is this stadium going to be? Why are they choosing to support rugby?

I have lots of questions but all because I’m genuinely curious about the growth here.
