I'm a big railway travel fan as well as rugby fan so I say "Go Lokomotive!" Btw when I played in Japan I played for the Japan Railways West "Railers" over 30s team :D The main JR West team plays in the highest tier of Regional leagues under the two national Top League divisions. Maybe Lokomotive should play the JR West, and also Kintetsu (private railway) "Liners" Top League 2nd division teams :)

Maybe this will interest someone during World Cup) 8-)
Intrigue is only who will take 3 and 4 places.
For three rounds before end of ...

Slava 34
Kuban 29
VVA 22

In remaining matches teams play among themselves.

Sorry for the late reply!!

You lot should be super proud!

Russia were Robbed!

Samoa should have had 2 reds and with 13 men wouldn't have won the 2nd hlaf and probably would have ended with 10 on the field.

Bad TMO although he highlighted the 1st. The on field ref was going to give red and was conditioned by the TMO.

That could have been your Uruguay moment.

Massive heart on such a short turn around!

Рresident of Rugby Federation of Russia Artemyev said.
"We learned that in Australia, up to 200 thousand players with Russian roots play rugby and other sports, go to Orthodox Church."

https://rugby.ru/news/igor-artemev-na-k ... kharakter/

I think he was misinformed ...
200000 total Orthodox, mainly from Balkans not related to Russia. I will believe in it .

200000 Australian "Russians" this would probably be solution to all our problems) 8-)

Probably entire Nazi army of Vlasov moved to Australia after 1945.
Otherwise its not clear where 200000 players with “Russian” roots came from 2019 ...

There's only about 100,000 Australians with Russian heritage. About 25,000 Russian born, about 75,000 with Russian ancestry. No idea how many play rugby.

Well, that seems to be true. But where found Artemyev in Australia from 200000 players with Russian roots ?!

I doubt that there will be more than 10-15 people playing at different levels ... couple of people, probably will remember their roots and may want to play for Russia.

He might be thinking grandchildren from people who came after world war 2. Quite a lot of Russians and Easter Europeans live in northern Sydney, and there's a lot of rugby clubs there, so it's highly likely there would be players in those areas with heritage.

Revolutionaries from Russian Empire fled to Australia,

https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals ... B63B7914BF

deserters during IWorld War (who by the way were later sent to fight for Australia). Refugees of civil war. After 1945 it can only be Nazi collaborators. Well, last wave after collapse of USSR.
I doubt that among these "Russian patriots" there will be many who want to play for Russia ...

At the same time ask about crimes of their parents in Russia.
I treat these people very badly.

I dont know. In any case doubt that Russian rugby will be able to strengthen in Australia.
Or somewhere else in world.
If dad stole money in Russia and grandfather destroyed civilians in USSR, they are unlikely to tell something good about Russia.
In addition child will read about Russia what they write in Western press and he certainly will not be a patriot ...
