Saint George’s red cross was Georgian flag from 5th century.

300 French Crusaders were settled in Georgia 11th and 12th centuries. Serving in David IV’s MonaSpa Guard.

5 cross flag was introduced before David IV reign.

The UAR president just said that Argentina XV is travelling to Georgia late in the month to face Georgia "A" and Racing 92. Any true to that?

Couple of weeks ago on forum.ge, there were users that mentioned the idea of a tournament featuring Georgia A , Argentina XV, Racing 92 and Basil. I guess there must truth to this since UAR president seems to confirm it.

This is very true

Geo A & Racing (each) will face South Americans, but not each other

The ANNOUNCEMENT was postponed for some rugby-not-related reason

My gut feeling -- would be DONE this week in any case

@

Some TRANSFERs on BIG'10 market

Sponsor-less Akademia once again lost ALL their stars:
FB Matianshvli >> Lokomotivi; BR Shubitidze and WI Sitchinava >> Batumi

Batumi wooed HB Khutsishvili << Rustavi, and
as rumours go, WI|CE Todua << Lelo (He is Khmaladze's friend from childhood)

Rustavi lost PR Tsiklauri >> Aia, but got HK Natriashvili << ROMANIA as a playing-coach

@

BIG'10 starts on 31 AUG

Schedule >> http://files.rugby.ge/GANRIGI/2018-19_D10_2SV.pdf

DOMESTIC Leagues' structure >> http://site.rugby.ge/ka-GE/0/ >> right-most column

@

ALL 1395 senior players who were listed in those leagues last season -- updated on 2 JUN 2018

As beautiful as the Georgian scripture looks like, I don't want to bother my in-law to translate it. Is there an English version or could you translate it for us/ give an overview
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

In the upper right corner sits a button with the letters ENG in it.
Wonder what it does.

Next time I will try not to be so pedantic.
It's true, I didn't take the time to check.
Taking a better look it doesn't even seem to be a translation but it appears to be a completely different page.

Did translate exactly what I was asking for. Thanks a lot. I honestly never realized it up there in the corner. Somehow thought it was an outgoing link like the other ones up there.

Dear RugbyLiebe

Both ქარ (GEO) | ENG are meant to a SCORE'BOARD
but with different degree of detailzation

GEO contains everything -- ALL the current QUICK LINKS
+ Tables: usually Big10 with LIVE SCORING | REC | RWC | U20 | U18 | GPS

ENG has ONLY several of those: usually Big10 | REC | TOUR

GEO could be translated into ENG easily,
via https://translate.google.com.hk/?hl=en

Just copy&paste website address
http://site.rugby.ge/ka-GE/0/
into left window and
choose input and output languages correctly

Off course, one will encounter a lot of jibberish
eg:

It's more 28/0 6 _2018 [oval oasis]
Ireland has won a series on the tests of South tests, but Rugby is still unmistakable

In the Kurtsikuri shrine 13/0 6 _2018 [oval oasis]
Bowie reacted to the first Saturday of the South Tests was miraculously stuck in England,
and Australia was the "Six Nations" coach of Ireland,

but TABLES will be still READ'able

UNVEILLED

Image

To be played at Vake, not Avtchala -- as folks initially thought

Schedule (KOT tbc -- probably 18.00 and 20.30 GET)

SAT 28/07 * GEO - ARG | RAC - BRZ
FRI 3/08 * RAC - ARG | GEO - BRZ

ie INCOMPLETE round-robin = NEIGHBORS do not meet

POINTS system >> ORIGINAL FRENCH = REC

WIN 4 points
DRAW 2 points
LOSS 0 points

BONUSUS

WINNER +1 point = for scoring at least THREE MORE tries than LOSER
LOSER +1 point = for finishing WITHIN SEVEN (one converted try) of WINNER's total
Thus LOSER can't pick 2 points, and in case of a DRAW no bonuses are allocated to either team

TIE BREAK

If SEVERAL = two | three | even ALL four = teams are on EQUAL competition points,
they are classed | placed according to:

* better DIFFERENCE (F-A) = points scored (FOR) minus (-) points conceded (AGAINST)
* more POINTS scored
* more TRIES scored
* less players RED CARDED
* less players SIN BINNED
in ALL games = throughout competition

NOTE: there is NO head-to-head altogether

Khvamli rugby,Can anyone find there squad for upcoming season? The Georgian rugby website{much improved} has squads for all the didi top 10 teams and second division teams, but i cannot find Khvalmi squad or even what division they are in?They got some really good young players in there team if they have not been signed by other clubs that will be in the mix for Georgias under 18 team next year.Especially there halves combination of Pridon Tsklauri and Nika Tsintsadze. There hooker Luka Petriashvili is a good prospect and there loose forwards of Saba Kurtanidze and Davit Niniashvili.

The whole Georgian under 18 team next year is shaping as possibly there best yet,who knows what kind of tournament will happen next year?Temur Kokhadze,Koba Iremashvili,Iago Khabuliani,Giorgi Kimutsadze ,Zaza Lutidze,Zurab Mindiashvili all very talented backs with speed should be part of it.

Svanidze confirmed that Aussie coaches will go home prior to 2019 RWC. Georgia is hunting for top class Forwards coach, Backs coach/Attack coach...............

Georgia has some serious problems after the match vs Scotland in 2016 November. we lost REC to Romania, destroyed by Japan and Fiji, poor performance on 2018 REC.
