Mmmm, still no news in Japan about this. And usually Rich Freeman is very onto this kind of thing having lots of connections. Where did this news come from? Georgian media or someone on a Georgian rugby forum etc?

Some user on forum.ge mentioned it. Some users there have either connections to GRU or they personally know the players from what I understand. Very frequently they post staff before GRU does and it turns out true.

Ok. Thanks for clarifying where this came from. Probably a good reason why it hasn't come to the surface in Japan yet.

I think they didn’t count the score in the first game, I red it was a “practice game” whatever that means..

Will there be any rugby on in Tbilisi 12/13 or 19/20 May? I have to schedule a trip out and would like to catch a game if I can. Cheers

Great news about Khatiashvili. Read his interview and he sounds like like a very inteligent person. Happy for him. If him and Bregvadze do well, maybe more Georgian players will attract attention of Super Rugby teams.

Congratulations. Rich Freeman in Japan confirmed it with Sunwolves management as a replacement for Ruan Smith. On twitter said contract signing not official yet because of visa issues. Hope those get sorted quickly.

Interesting, I didn't know that.
Can you please tell me for which team the other Georgian play?
Definitely, I'm now more interested in watching Super Rugby and I'll cheer for them.

Congrats!

Injury cover; the Ospreys have one of the best second row rosters of any of the Welsh regions when everyone's fit so I can't see this being extended. Might catch the attention of one of the other regions though, Blues and Dragons could both use a gnarly lock.

Great news, hope he get some game time. He's a beast when in form but Bristol just sent him to the reserves for a YEAR!! that pissed me off to no end.

Do you know if these will be played on the Saturday or the Sunday? Which day is normally match day? Are both matches in Tbilisi? I'd like to book my flights and it will determine whether I fly on the Saturday or Sunday. Thanks a lot!
