Disappointing to see he could compete in the Top14. He is still young but doubt he will make it into a higher league... he is a great Talent but his physical side didn't seemed to improve. Hope he stays healthy and strong!

What are u talking about, his physical conditions has improved very much from 2016 u20. 190cm, 105kg, with a grest talent and motivation.

I personally think its better to start in Pro 2D for 20 21 year guy and get experience and playing time and than his career will continue in Top14.

Good choice for Giorgi to sign Pro 2D side.

Gorgadze also played for stade mpntois for few years and now he is in Bordeaux.

Don't get me wrong, I wish him all the best and like him as a player - he is a true No7, super breakdown skills. I find it disappointing that he couldn't make it in the Top14. Giorgadze and Gorgadze managed to make it to a pro contract in two good clubs. And as much as I like him I have to say that the games I saw him playing he didn't looked as if he was in the physical condition to Play against big strong Forwards (like in Argentina) every week. I don't know where your numbers are from and how true they are but that was my Impression. It's also telling that he got a 3 year contract, that is a pretty long time for a 21 year old. Kolelishvili was there for a year only. If Brive had seen the potential for him to Play in the T14 they would not have given him away for 3 years. But nontheless, I hope he can impress with the National Team and get signed by a better Club! Should be Motivation and the GRU should Support him.

What about Kakabadze, the Young prop from Clermont? Did he Play for georgian age grade Teams or is he more a French Project player?

Yea, Kakabadze was in U18 and U20 Georgia.

Otar Giorgadze is stronger guy but he will get much less playing time than Giorgi Tsutskiridze.

Also Tsutskiridze is tackling specialist, no man have passed through his zone as much i remember.

Your worries is not true dude. Giorgi is hard working guy and ge is in perfect physical shape by now.

190cm 105kg is not bad for 3'd line players. Gorgadze also had 3 year contract with Stade Montois but as we see after 1 year he is in Bordeaux.

Even though, he got invitations in Top14 clubs but he signed for Pro 2D club at first and played 1300 min untill his injury.

Tsutskiridze impress by his work rate not by his physicality. Players fit like him & with stamina are the future flankers not the huge guys.

I tell you this Dato, its better to play in Pro 2D and actually get some playing time than being in Top14 club and sometimes appear on the bench.

So Tsutskiridze did right choice to sign Aurillac. He will get his experience and than every Top 14 club will be glad to have him.

its similar path with Gorgadze who also started playing in Pro D2 and getting huge time to get Experience and improve his skills.

Gorgadze will play for Bordeaux the next season (2018-2019). For now, he is still with Stade Montois and is still recovering from his surgery.

ProD2 can be a good option for a young player but Tsutskiridze is still waiting to play his first professional game. I'm pretty sure if he was stay at Brive, he could have play Challenge Cup games.

Georgia is lucky to have so many young talented backrowers with different profiles : powerfull = Giorgadze; big tackler = Tsutskeridze; skilled = Gorgadze + Spanderashvili and Machaladze who impressed last U20WC

Arsen Machaladze is 1998 born and he will play another U20 RWC. I believe Machaladze can be very successful. He is very talented player.

Spanderashvili is smart player, and leader. But he has no U20 to play because he is 1997 born.

I hope you are right :) Would be pretty cool to see three Young Georgian 3rd row Players in the t14. Big Problems in the 2nd row... And doesn't get any better... no really big Player who will be able to replace Nemsadze in sight.

Tonga most probably will be the third one

Samoa will meet ENC2 for RWC qualification

Gorgodze injured at the gym (chest) and out 5 to 6 months. So, he will not play his final game for the lelos during this REC...

As for the tests, There will not be a Tier1 fixture but Japan and Fiji are the 2 strongest T2 teams.

In other news, Lekso Kaulashvili is on set to sign for Bordeaux for the next season.

This game was one of the highlights for me of 2017,for many reasons. Not much was made of this tour to Georgia from Cardiff blues academy{one of the best in Wales} in November.I will give a brief summary.Basically Cardiff blues nth lost all 3 games to Georgian academy under 16 teams. From various reports i had to dig deep into the earth to find, they were generally shocked by the skill level of the Georgians, not just in the forwards but in the backs.
I realise this is only under 16 level but to take apart a team that has been playing the game as long as Wales have is nothing to laugh at.Watch the youtube video(excuse the wales supporters language in some stages)It was men against boys out there for first 40mins,until they buttoned off with subs in the second half.
1 A georgia academy under 16 team bought one of the best under 16 teams in Wales to there knees
2 It showed international community and world rugby that there is life outside SANZAAR and 6 nations teams.
3 It showed Georgia is flying way ahead in there rugby development than what many observers realise, something backed up by G.R.U president in world rugby interview.
4 It showed Wales rugby union took notice of those results, there must of been a few closed meetings when they got home as a full enquiry into the development of Wales rugby from grassroots up was held one week after there return.
5 Anyone know the name of the Georgian fullback in the game,he got lightning fast feet and made Wales look silly.

Always interesting posts about georgian youth system Scoob.
I think the fullback is Giorgi Kimutsadze

However the team who came to Georgia is Blues North U16, they not mixed their South and North teams Here are current rankings :

I really hope Georgia will play more tournament like this with foreign academies at U16 and U18 level

Maybe? dont know. The Georgian under 18 team was just named and Giorgi Kimutsadze was named at top of the list. I am fairly sure the order from which the under 18s were named was from 1-15 props to fullbacks and Kimutsadze was first name on the list.He might be captain which could explain why he was first name also? There was 5-6 players from the Georgian academy under 16 teams who were selected in the enlarged Georgian under 18 team along with a few didi top 10 players, the most notably probably second five from Aia Lasha lomidze.

Sometimes in Georgia backs are named first followed by forwards.

FR will know in detail.

Not only the GRU president Haig himself mentioned several times that the 2000-2001 borns reminded him of the kids in his homeland.
