Hope it's only a minor injury...

Are there any age grade teams from 6 nations teams coming to play Georgia academy this year? Last year in October/November? Wales age grade club visited.

I don't know. Union announces such kind of visits on very short notice

Say, Afrikaner kids are coming next week and
that's why "B" League (U17) is taking break:
3-5 OCT games delayed until 10-12 OCT

My thoughts on Didi rugby top 10.
The veteran packs of Locomotive,Batumi can still shove the youngsters around of the other clubs at set pieces.
Players that have impressed me include the whole locomotive front row.Davit Tabukashvili from the Rustavi Bulls has been very impressive to me. He has got some serious pace and good defensively as well.Missed junior lelos but proving his worth now.Illia Spanderashvili is one of the best loose forwards floating around.John Iashagashvili is a youngster but performed very well at lock for Armazi.Giorgi Kvesiladze should be number 12 for senior lelos has been in very good form. and Tedo Abzhandadze has been at his brilliant best even with a back pedalling scrum.

Anyone got the full article? Intriguing to know why Rowntree is going to visit teams like Toulouse or Lyon?

Rowntree’s tour of France is a fast-track means of familiarising himself with the stock of players at his disposal ahead of a potentially seminal match against Italy in Florence on Nov 10.
Rowntree has spent merely a couple of days in Georgia so far but has been struck by its beauty and the professionalism and drive of the whole organisation.
"The National Rugby Centre in Tbilisi has great facilities, a hotel on site, very much akin to what I’ve been used to down the years. There are two more centres around the country. This is a dream job for me. I’ve admired Georgia’s forward play for a long time.”
Georgia will stage a week-long camp in Montpellier ahead of the Italy game by which time Rowntree hopes to have mastered some Georgian. “Things like, ‘get down and push, you bugger’," said Rowntree, laughing again.

In other news, Tsutskiridze scored a try yesterday, he starting the game and is ahead of Lomidze (not even in the teamsheet). Will see if Tsutskiridze is also ahead of Lomidze in Haig's mind.

Soso Matiashvili missed last 2 games for Lelo Saracens and he is not in the squad today. Is he injured? Hope he will be fit for Italy's game

Tsurskiridze has put on a lot of muscle. Despite some injuries, few young Georgians are getting some decent playing time and seem to be in good form. Gogichashvili is impressing in Racing lately. Hopefully it will continue leading up to Italy game.

Big day for the 2016 U20 backrow !
Gorgadze (Bordeaux-Bègles), Tsutskiridze (Aurillac) and Giorgadze (Brive) all in the starting XV of their clubs and they all scored a try !

Overall, 8 georgians from 2016 U20 WC on Top14 & ProD2 grounds this end of the week : Melikidze (Stade Français), Tabidze (Bordeaux-Bègles), Gorgadze (Bordeaux-Bègles), Mataradze (Nevers), Giorgadze (Brive), Lobzhanidze (Brive), Tsutskiridze (Aurillac), Neparidze (Vannes).

In addition to them, Guram Gogichashvili (Racing92, 1998) and Papidze (Nevers, born 1997) also played this weekend

Good for him. Glen Jackson will officiate Italy and Georgia game. I'm glad it wont be one of the home nation refs (Nigel Owens would have been fine).

He is very good defensively. For sure one of the flankers to travel to Japan.

Definitely.

He's been great this season. Hopefully he can stay injury free. Georgia really needs him for November.

Great to see Tkhilaishvili back on Didi10 grounds after a long injury. First game and already in Didi10 team of the week !
But with so many competition in Georgia's backrow, will he have a spot?
Gorgadze, Giorgadze, Tsutskiridze, Gachechiladze all in great shape, Kolelishvili unmovable if fit, Lomidze and Sutiashvili are playing ProD2 regulary (but with Mikautadze injured, these 2 can cover the lock position), Even for young promising players like Jalagonia or Spanderashvili, it will be hard to get a chance soon

There is also Bitsadze. Indeed, good selection in backrow. I wish same could be said for second row. If fit, I would include Tkhilaishvili in the line up in one of coming games.

With so many injuries still a good pack:

Nariashvili, Bregvadze, Kubriashvili (Gogichashvili, Tabidze)
Nemsadze, Giorgardze
Gorgadze, Tsutskirishvili, Kolelishvili

that would not be a bad pack but still.. i hoped Mamuka would come back before the world cup. We need him more than ever in the 2nd row.

Gogichashvili is now ahead of him. He started last two games before Ben Arous was back while Kakovin was on the banch . Now, Ben Arous is starting and Gogichashvili is on the bench while Kakovin is not even on the teamsheet. But If expect Kakovin to play Champions Cup ahead of Gogichashvili thanks to his experience
