Also surprising to see Kacharava starting inside centre, unusual for him, while Mchedlidze is only on the bench.

"thanks" to Tsutskiridze injury, Saghinadze get another start, he can have real hopes of a RWC call now

Sharikadze is injured so they have to play Kacharava at 12.

Mchedlidze can cover the spot

Mchedlidze's defensive skills are not as good as needed at the moment.

At the press conference Milton Haig didn't confirm Mamuka's return, but he also didn't deny it. He said that they have spoken to him after Tsutskiridze's injury and the we'll know more after tomorrow's game.

God it would be great to see Gorgodze come back for the World Cup. Here’s hoping.

Mchedlidze is not good enough to play against tier 1 teams.

Some people aren't as optimistic about ticket sales. Some say that only around 35K been sold so far. Though I am hoping for sellout knowing how Georgians like to buy tickets at the last possible moment. As far as tier1 scalp goes, few things need to happen for that. Perfect game plan as well as execution. Little bit of luck and DISCIPLINE! Easier said than done.

I may have missed this info but in the context of the chat about match vs Scotland and the shortcommings of the Georgian backline, why isn't Pruidze in the squad ? He's young, solid player with decent experience in Challenge Cup. Is he injured, unavailable for any reason?

Its official: Mamuka Gorgodze is among the players going to World Cup. Aseishvili is not on the list. Very surprising. I like Gogichashvili who is a great talent, but in my opinion, Aseishvili deserved a spot.

Pruidze regularly plays for Krasniy Yar and is one of try-scorer. He played last game on Sunday vs Lokomotiv

Really surprised Beka Bitsadze isn't included in the WC squad. Would have had him in instead of Lasha Lomidze.

Odd, I'd have picked him before Dzeneladze anytime

Dzneladze is the one I wouldn't leave. He can actually tackle, defend and attack. Unlike Matiashvili who falls down if it's too windy or Mchedlidze who could lose a race to a turtle. Not to mention Khmaladze whose skillset is still a mystery.

As for pruidze, yes he is a gifted player but unfortunately, from what we've heard he has some unhealthy habits and is unprofessional all around.

The only good thing to come out of the Scotland game is a major rugby outlet taking a closer look at Georgia's gameplan and execution.
