I'd have loved to see the coaches/selectors do what France did and pick a whole bunch of youngsters, no offence to the other teams but we should easily win this competition again this year! You'd have to think that a few of the guys picked won't be in France in 2023 (yes we need to think that far ahead).
This is my squad (and I know not everyone will agree):

Prop: Zhvania, Neparidze, Mataradze, Japaridze, Tevdorashvili, Azariashvili.
Hookers: Karkadze, Mamrikishvili.
Locks: Koiava, Javakhia, Jalani, Saghinadze, Iashagashvili.
Flanks: Tsutskiridze, Giorgadze, Bitsadze, Gachechiladze, Tkhilaishvili.
Scrumhalf: Lobzhanidze, Alania.
Flyhalf: Modzghvrishvili, Babunashvili.
Centres: Malaghuradze, Kveseladze, Koshadze, Tapladze.
Back 3: Matiashvili, Miriam, Svanidze, Meskhi, Lashkhi, Kavtaradze.

We NEED to blood youngsters!!

The problem is that Georgia should have a "permanent coach by now" instead of temporary one. That is GRU' big mistake. As far as easily winning competition this year, I'm not so sure. Even with strongest team, away games in Spain are always tense and unpredictable if Spain have their French based players.

Yeah it's ridiculous that there wasn't a new permanent head coach lined up, stupid by the GRU!
Would have been perfect for a new head coach to have had the European championship to try things and players. Better to do it there than against tier one opposition, which sadly is what the new coach will have to do against South Africa.
And what's worse is that with other nations being "smarter" "more organised", top coaches have been signed up and now we're left with dreads.
We just have to hope to find a coach who can take us forward, improve our skills and our mentality!

Three weeks of excellent fixtures for Georgia, each game will be a massive test for them. This must be their toughest summer fixtures ever.

Looks like another Georgian prop. Talanted and strong.

We need wings and fly halfs nom props. Abzhandadze looks promising but he is too young.

Isn't a bit dangerous for health reasons for an 18 yo prop to start in Top 14? Don't want to imply he isn't good enough but are obvious biological limits that may put him in danger.

he is originally from Telavi (East Georgia).
Yesterday he played only 3 last minutes, meantime he became a record holder. I believe he is the youngest ever Georgians played in TOP 14.

We also do not have enough information about him. He is eligible (born in 2001) for U20 national team.

That is sad news about Buka.

Looks like the young Georgians are doing well in the espoirs comp in France.
Chachavadze and Iashigashvili are regular starters for Bayonne, and team leading there division.
The Aurillac espoir Georgians are a bit hit and miss with there starts. Dont know how many played there last match?
Jalagonia is a regular for Biarritz espoirs. He must be close to making senior team.

How does espoirs comp in France work? Presume 3 divisions, with best teams in first then second and 3rd division the worst teams.

So news out that Fiji have appointed Vern Cotter as their new head coach.
Really disappointing that Georgia have missed an opportunity to get a top grade coach.
Yes I know that there are President elections but we've known for at least a year that after the WC a new coach was needed. And the longer we wait the less options there will be.

True. Georgian Rugby Union was the most effective organization from 2010-2016 but now there is a mess due to elections. Current president should have hired new coach before RWC. Now we are waiting for elections, and upper mentioned coach already taken...

Hope we will get good president to unite the union and get 4-8 years of effective management.

Out of the three candidates, the current GRU president still seems to be the most competent, despite being far from perfect.

Very strong squad but apparently few Romanian players have flu and few more being tested for it.

Thanks to his double against Romania, Davit Kacharava is now the second best try scorer of Georgia history with 24 tries, overpassing Machkhaneli and Zibzibadze (both 23 tries scored). Mamuka Gorgodze (27 tries) still first

DEAR Scoob

There are two DIFFERENT TOPICAL sites
since 8 Jan 2020:
CLARET STATS vs BLACK PR

What you need is in CLARET STATS >>
http://vue.ge/2019-2020/BILIKI/EVR-BILIKI.htm
It has a classic link to BLACK PR -- just hit Union Logo

BLACK PR >> https://rugby.ge/
This one provides only OBSCURE link to STATS -- click ლიგები

:::

Reason for split? -- BLACK PR's engine is IMPOTENT to handle TABLES

The squad to prepare for Spain.
Personally I'd like to see a debutant. And how we'll go at lock with no Kote.
