Yes, but it would mean a "A" teams competition...

Possibly, but it can still happen. I suppose it makes more sense to focus on the entire Americas instead but then the ARCh would have to be expanded with clear promotion/relegation. The SA6N are great for Colombia and Paraguay to get playing time against better teams so it’d be a shame to see those matches go away once they were introduced.

The LAR can be played in 3 months, for example February to April. And the South American Championship could be played in May as usual.

With 8 teams they will probably go for 14 rounds + playoffs. LAR is born to run together with MLR. LAR will only end in April if they don't have money for more.

Watched as much as I could of Cayman Islands vs Guyana but unfortunately lost the stream for a few minutes in the Second Half.

Looked like a good performance from the Cayman Islands and will be interesting to see how they do in the Americas Rugby Challenge, believe I heard that it was being hosted by Paraguay this year.

"Jamaica" is slang for "Guyana". I thought you all knew that :|

Judging by a post on the British Virgin Islands Rugby Union Facebook Page, it seems like the RAN Trophy (XVs) this year will be as follows:

British Virgin Islands v Turks & Caicos Islands
Turks & Caicos Islands v Dominican Republic
Dominican Republic v British Virgin Islands

So it looks like no Curaçao this year.

So, 2019 might look like this for RAN teams:
Americas Championship (USA, Canada)
Americas Challenge (Mexico, Cayman Islands)
RAN Championship (USA South, Bermuda, Guyana, Jamaica)
RAN Cup (Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Guadeloupe, Bahamas?)
RAN Trophy (Dominican Republic, British Virgin Islands, Turks & Caicos Islands)

Not known: Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Curaçao, French Guiana, Martinique

This is assuming promotion/relegation from last year.

Cayman Islands now up to 48th from 52nd in the World Rankings after their win against Guyana, now ahead of Mexico who have dropped to 50th in the World.

Mexico were kinda disappointing in the last ARChallenge, I was hoping for a Brazil or Colombia-like performance. Guess we got used to things like that too much.

Yep. But they could do a playoff between RAN and SR best of the rest....
