Also I notice that the union website hasn't been undated since before the new year, when news was regular in the past. Wonder if there are problems?

According to info I received... in a word, yes.

Then why post anything at all if you can't discuss it.

The problem is the four best players of Moldova were retained by their club in total infraction of Word Rugby Regulation 9. World Rugby is the only responsible of this defeat.

Belgium were missing 3-4 players last week for the same reasons.
Kieft didn't play for Netherlands either against Belgium or Moldova.

It is a sad fact that a lot of players are held by their club. But eventually it is the club who pays the players not the country.

What kind of a thing to say.. Like rugby is the only sport on the planet, and no other has national teams and competitions .. It can all ber regulated, if only someone had balls to stand their ground, and be strict about following the rules they themselves set in the first place.

I am very glad with the progress of Moldovan rugby. They have decent team and they deserve respect.
At the same time, I must admit that Belgium has more resources to emerge as tier 2 nation in upcoming years. They already have decent national team (which was evident by their performance in ENC during last years).
Moreover, they have very good youth teams. During past 4-5 years their youth teams were equal or better than teams like Spain, Portugal, Russia and Romania. If Moldova develops youth system, I believe they will have bright future.

From dragos03 on therugbyforum
according to the Moldovan players, their national team was completely robbed by the referee in their defeat against Netherlands. They claim that no less than six Moldovan legitimate tries were not awarded by the ref.

4 tries were held up over the line. They should blame good Dutch defense instead of the referee. I dont know what other 2 legitimate tries they are complaining about.

Sour grapes?

Highlights from the game. We can see a scrum dominated by the Netherlands and an awful Moldovan defense.

That's old footage of Moldova (in red) vs Sweden from 2014.

I think RugInt means more like teamsheet for the match against Belgium.
Edit-
But I looked again at the context and perhaps you are right.

Raster european lege rugby 15

I saw the logo the other day and thought it might be a regional championship of some sort. I kind screws a little with my plans of startin g a semi pro club participating in romaniann rugby system. But This is good development aswell.

Still no information about the squad against Belgium ?
Ospreys announced Victor Arhip is in the squad. What about Cobilas brothers and Andrei Mahu, and injured players ?
