Timisoara signed a new private sponsorship deal with MHS Truck & Bus (a German company) just before the game against Heidelberg. The sponsorship deal is for 3 years and will annualy cover about 7-8 % of the club's budget. Well, Timisoara has an estimated budget ranging between 1.5 and 2 million euros. A really important deal for the Romanian private club.

Excellent for Timisoara!

About Cup's final I'll try to provide a link if it will be streamed. The venue was moved 3 times. First was set in Bucharest but Baia Mare didn't agree. Than it was moved in Moldova to Iasi but CSM did not agree (there is an old personal dispute between the heads of these two clubs' administration ;) ) than it was decided for Cluj Arena but the rent was probably too big and it was finally moved on U Cluj small stadium :) An odyssey of vanity I presume. I'll try to provide a link if one will be available

Stiinta Baia Mare:

1. Suciu
2. Natriashvili
3. Nailago
4. Rosu
5. Dania
6. Chirica
7. Morrell
8. Ailenei
9. Shamkaradze
10. Bredell
11. Sikuea
12. Fakaosilea
13. Doneghan
14. Lamboiu
15. Marawunawasawasa

16. Bardasu
17. Pristavita
18. Muresan
19. Dumani
20. Tigla
21. Oprea
22. Apostol
23. Feofaaki

Some Oaks are kept on the bench along with Feofaaki so I presume they look for impact in forwards in second half

CSM Bucuresti:

1. Balan
2. Oancea
3. Pocris
4. Toader
5. Gigauri
6. Arvinte
7. Ion
8. Carpo
9. Faasen
10. Barron
11. Cobden
12. Maliepo
13. Iliuta
14. Ispir
15. Sioeli

16. Petucher
17. Ionescu
18. Baliashvili
19. Van Heerden
20. Riley
21. Calafeteanu
22. Prunaru
23. Wheeler

Interesting start for young Iliuta at 13, he showed great form lately but he's usually a winger. As far as I know he was supposed to be with U20 squad.

No no, I was talking about Super Liga site where you have to fill in the squad with 48 hours before. Probably Bredell injured at training and they didn't updated the site, only announced on facebook.

BM really fucked up at that last CSM try. They left the inside of the scrum really exposed. Too bad FRR is taking the cup final to such a tiny venue. They should grow some balls.

Probably not the priority issue these days ;) but, any new rumors about the new coach for Oaks?
Still Lievremont on the cards? [Thomas, not Marc].
Exposure (or not) to the WRC might be a factor in getting a good coach, I guess.

Personally, not a big fan of french approach concerning rugby, but - as others mention it - a french coach might get our players from France easier to the team.
What kind of coach do you think Oaks needs?

P.S. I'm just too tired about "you know what topic" and I wanna read something more productive.

Yes but you were talkin about Timisoara.

About 7s I know from some weeks already (posters from here can testify). That's why I asked you if you have some news.

Danie is an excellent 7s coach, he coached the Huns backs and then their 7s team to heights they've never been to in 2017. My personal thought was that he was moving back to Romania for the XVs job, possibly Timisoara because as noted they need a coach and he coached the team previously. He was pretty tight lipped on whom was going to be his employer, but I knew it was to coach in Romania again. Still, great for him. Good man, wife is a Saint.

Just noticed that CSM Bucharest signed fullback Josh Rowland from Connacht and french-romanian winger Nicolas Onutu from Vienne.

Quite entertaining and tense Steaua v Timisoara game. I don't know if it's the best ad for Romanian Superliga, but at least it was nice to watch.

Steaua- Timisoara 16-18!!! "Conveniently" Timisoara got red carded in min 60( I guess, somehow the referee is always covered, IT JUST HAPPENS....) just when Steaua was bouncing back in the game, right after Steauawas leading 10-0 and Timisoara scored a try. We will all hear something about lack of discipline and control by Timisoara players... probably....

Oh cmon! I am tired of this cry and whining about persecution from Timisoara. I was away of the phase but I've seen Stewart stepping on Steaua's player head. I asked a friend who was exactly in that side of the pitch if I've seen well and he said yes, it was clear and this is straight red.

Timisoara woke up after the red card, until than they played without any offensive idea and Steaua's young backline (and fully Romanian one) was clearly dominant with ball in hand. Yellow for Lazar I don't know but you can get that for repeated comments to referee decisions. When club's executive is swearing the ref to be head by entire stand and by ref himself what do you expect? Of course the ref will ping you, they are humans you know? Who likes abuse?

However, discipline in rucks seems to improve for Timisoara, they were less penalized as opposed to first half of SL when they were happy to give away the ball easily. But their game is lacking ideas. I liked a lot of things from Steaua, especially the defense and the way they picked the decision when to contest the ruck or not, clever and efficient play. The backline with Boldor at 10 and Melinte at 15 is starting to come together and sometimes they move too fast for Vlaicu ;) Boldor is better and better in defense, one of his weak spots while Melinte is adapting well at 15 moving from 10. Neagu also had a good game but he made few mistakes on high balls which is odd, this is one of his strength. He blame the sun, obviously.

And yes, kicking the ball away after a knock on is bad discipline as it is protests to ref decisions. The fish always stinks from the head.

George Sava was fired by Baia Mare and club signed as head coach Alejandro Mario Canale. Also Natriashvili was fired due to serious disciplinary misconduct (apparently he punched a colleague )

New Head Coach is Argentinean Mario Alejandro Canale for 2018 - 2019 season and he's the first foreign coach from club's history. I never heard of him, maybe Argentinean posters can tell us something about this coach

Last round of Super Liga:

Dinamo 29 - 33 CSM Stiinta Baia Mare

Excellent result for hosts despite the loss, they fielded a very young team

Steaua 15 - 33 CSM Bucuresti

Visitors got the winning tries in last 5 minutes and a Steaua with 10 U23 players gave them good game, defended very clever and hit on counter attack. MVP of the match was center Moa Maliepo but it is odd considering Nicholas Onutu, CSM wing scored 3 tries.
