Side question: if the line referees are "assistant #1 and #2" and the side field referees are "assistant #4, #5, #6", who is the referee assistant number 3? The TMO? The assessor?

NO

Formerly they were three: REF and two TJs -- onto Field and along it
Hence, #4 and #5 for those who oversee subs next to Field
TMO is seated upstairs | in bunker, and he is not counted

Thanks IanCleverly

The "redactor in chief" of our blog is a passionate welsh-team-lover and english-team-hater and he made a vote to sing the english hymn if Wales had won the Six Nations. To help himself singing the "hated" hymn he raised a welsh flag and grabbed a leek, symbol of Wales : )

Lol. We had an Irish guy in our club when we were on tour in Vienna. As punishment for some minor offence he had to cheer for England while we were watching Ireland v England in the Irish pub. He made a good go of it - "Hoorah! Jolly well played" or "What a pity, Ireland have scored. That is rather bad luck". But he wasn't completely convincing.

Vlad Iordăchescu is match official for Poland vs Switzerland... Why is he still referee of international match?

Clearly worst referee after George Clancy. :D

Luxembourg played on Sunday against 'some form' of a Netherlands representative side (no clarification of who on their social media sites), and lost 24-10.

It was this U20 match:

It was a training match for the Netherlands U20 in the run up to the EC U20.

Some mess in moldovan rugby: the facebook automatic translation is not very clear but it seems that the Moldovan Rugby Federation has at the moment a president not recognized by the Ministry of Justice but unwilling to quit his position

It must be a mess on the field too. It's only a couple of years since they were one of the stronger teams on the RE Trophy, now they are struggling in the Conference, losing to Hungary and getting thrashed 80-0 by Sweden. What's going on?

At one time they had a forward pack that was almost all professionals, some of them in top leagues. It’s been a couple of years since any of them played for Moldova. They haven’t retired, they just don’t make themselves available. Union issues it seems.

Today there was the answer of the "other" president. Apparently there are two facebook pages with the same title, one supporting one president and the other page supporting the other president. This sort of internal fight is quite familiar in rugby...
