Interesting article came out in El Observador yesterday criticising the current program and coaching changes with the head coach leaving due to conflict with URU and the lack of perceived support on the pre-Olympic Program and more emphasis on the XV program taking away some of their main players to the XV program.

The writer calls on URU to invest in technical and more human resources to improved the program and attract players to the 7's program in the same vein as the XV.

Finishing 7th is a terrible result, but I wouldn't make it a priority to improve.

Ignacio Chans published a book about the last decade of the Teros.

I read all of it. It's blood, sweat and tears. Sacrifice is no metaphor.

In case you didn't hear, some Teros players made a mess at a Japanese nightclub :(

Ignacio Chans of Referí interviewed Sudamérca Rugby president Sebastián "Pino" Piñeyrúa.

o- The Teros must keep all players together. If clubs don't release players, there will be no progress.
o- The Teros must play 3 test matches in June/July and 3 in November, including 2 test matches versus tier 1 teams.
o- In addition to the South American Super League, Uruguay needs a better top division championship that reaches the whole country rather than just 3 cities.
o- Clubs across the country must regularly play similarly ranked teams, but get the chance to play better teams to prove themselves.
o- The ultimate goal is to bring more kids into rugby.

The match is supposed to air on veramas.com.uy. Not sure if it's available outside Uruguay.

I have discovered that the official URU youtube page posts full match replays, hopefully they will do the same for the final.
