That´s the Province selection. Among local talent the likes of German Schultz (former Arg. 7s and Argentina XV player) played that game I believe.

It's not a club, it's the provincial team.

I'd still imagine them to do a bit better than the provincial side.

Cordoba only had two training sessions and they changed their whole team at halftime. Uruguay should do better. Half of these players are first choice:

Uruguay: 1-Mateo Saguinetti (Facundo Gattas) , 2-Germán Kessler (Matías Benitez), 3-Juan Echeverría (Juan Pedro Rombys), 4-Diego Magno (Diego Ayala), 5-Ignacio Dotti, 6-Juan Manuel Gaminara, 7-Juan Diego Ormaechea (Guillermo Pujadas), 8-Manuel Diana, 9-Santiago Arata (Guillermo Lijtenstein), 10-Andrés De León, 11-Gastón Mieres, 12-Joaquín Prada, 13-Tomás Inciarte, 14-Leandro Leivas, 15-Manuel Blengio

As others have said, this is not a club team. It's the provincial representative team just like in NZ, Australia, South Africa, Ireland etc. 5 years ago Cordoba would've won by 30-40 points. Cordoba is also consistently one of the top Argentine provinces. At full strength and at home, they'd probably be favourites to beat say the US Selects XV etc A few years ago, they'd be favourites against the Eagles.

That makes sense, I knew it was a provincial team but I didn’t quite know how good they were.

Is the whole stadium getting a new coat of pain or just the field?

I don't know how many things they are doing. All of this is for the Women's U-17 FIFA World Cup, of which this stadium is a venue. I only know it's getting an artificial pitch, floodlights and a tunnel from the dressing rooms to the pitch.

New seats as well I think. It’s hosting the opening ceremony and final for that tournament.

It's possible, the article mentions reforms to the stands. That would bring the capacity down quite a bit though. Maybe to about 8 or 9 thousand.

They rank above Lobos, unlike last year.

The difference between the top and bottom teams is quite large.

Really glad about Charruas, I once saw a guy wearing their uniform at a rugby game down here in UY.
