I know Torneo de Clubes B is new but is it now considered as second club level ahead of Interior A ? If no, is it considered better than Interior B ?

A new Torneo de Clubes Región Centro has been created between the Córdoba, Rosario, Santa Fe, and Entre Ríos unions.

It looks a great idea to have Cordoba playing Litoral clubs. Any chances to see a complete merge?

I disagree with a merger between the Córdoba and Litoral tournaments.

Córboba and Rosario are 400 km apart. That would be too much travel for amateur clubs.

Brazil is not playing tournaments before Punta. We should have played at least one and we must return to the Seven de La Republica.

RugbyLiebe wrote:Sorry for going off-topic here, but that's really interesting. So are there any "worker's" Rugby Union clubs? Always had the feeling that those clubs were at least upper middle class, with a lot of those guys playing coming from "good families".

It is a sport clearly associated with the upper middle class. I’m not disputing that. However, there are plenty of working class clubs throughout the country. I would say more than half of the clubs in Buenos Aires fit that mold.

My issue with your comment was the inequality part. That Canada couldn’t replicate our amateur club scene because they had a more equal society. I don't follow your line of reasoning.

The UAR announced the schedule for their national club competitions:
Nacional de Clubes A and B: http://uar.com.ar/2017/12/12/asi-se-jue ... cion-2018/
Torneo del Interior A and B: http://uar.com.ar/2017/12/12/programaci ... -interior/
Torneo del Interior C: http://uar.com.ar/2017/12/12/se-amplia- ... a-federal/

Not surprisingly, they changed the rules on the fly. Carrasco Polo won the Interior B last season, so Uruguay was supposed to have had two clubs in Nacional B, one in Interior A and two in Interior B. Instead, the UAR gave Uruguay only one team in Interior B but added two more clubs into the brand new Interior C.

In Nacional B, Old Boys will face Lomas (Buenos Aires), Sporting (Mar del Plata) and Palermo Bajo (Córdoba). Old Christians will face C.A.S.I. (Buenos Aires), Jockey (Salta) and Los Tordos (Mendoza).

In Interior A, Montevideo Cricket will face Lince (Tucumán), C.R.A.I. (Santa Fe) and C.U.R.N.E. (Chaco).

In Interior B, Trebol will face Universitario (Mar del Plata), Roca R.C. (General Roca - Alto Valle) and San Martín (Villa Maria - Córdoba).

In Interior C, Carrarco Polo will face Córdoba R.C. (Córdoba), Cardenales (Tucumán) and Universitario (Santa Fe). P.S.G. will face Bigornia (Rawson), San Juan R.C. (San Juan) and Los Cardos (Tandil).
