Regardless of the standard of opposition by virtue of just spending more time playing with one another far more regularly would have a positive effect. Even if the team doesn't feature the entire national team it would still prove beneficial.

From the swiss team who faced Ukraine (only 2017 matchday squad I've found) only 3 guys plays for Servette
Most of the Servette players are french

Now in semi finals of the Promotion Honneur... but wins are getting less bulky, came out of quarter finals by 7pts, 16-9. I cannot say for sure what the standard in that league is, but judging by other experiences, it might be quite physical....

How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

Just to clarify, Servette RC has already secured promotion to the 6th tier by winning the regional championship.

Now they are playing for the 7th tier national championship.

Yes, that's it. It goes like that:

Pro 1 (Top 14)
Pro 2 (Pro D2)
National 1 (Fédérale 1)
National 2 (Fédérale 2)
National 3 (Fédérale 3)
Regional 1 (Honneur)
Regional 2 (Promotion d'Honneur)
etc.

It's a very standard structure in european sport.

Starting from Fédérale 3 you have strong clubs with money, especially in Northern groups, with big cities coming. But they will face strong opponents in their South-East groups too. In Fédérale 2, best clubs have paid players, whereas in Fédérale 1 quasi everyone get it.
First real pro League is Pro D2.

Nothing is planned now. Many talks, nothing done. I guess it would be better to expand Pro D2 than it.
