That’s not a test, it’s a tour game or a friendly.

Test matches require two national tams. Salta and Tucumán are province teams.

The minutes of the CBRU council have always some tidbit about the new league > https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2151/ ... 3757139231

Apparently, there will be a central investor who will then sell the franchises in each country. This week the UAR president hinted that the investor is from Brazil > http://rugby.com.ar/marcelo-rodriguez-y ... de-la-uar/

Victor, any idea who might be? Maybe the same guys that were behind that Pro Series event?

Pro Series is not working with CBRu AFAIK. They are now trying to work with Federação Paulista de Rugby (São Paulo Rugby Union). They are small guys.

I don't have a clue about who might be...

Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay will play this weekend an U17 tournament against emerging unions in Córdoba. Paraguay will also send their senior squad.

Anyone knows if the U18 Sudamericano is still on? Paraguay should host it in the coming weeks.

So basically it's just Uruguay and Argentina players, which is perfectly fine and great for Uruguay but some press mentioned that it would also include Paraguayan and Colombian players so oh well :/

The original press release said Paraguay wouldn't give players since they would be preparing for their game next weekend, while Colombia would give some for the second match as this weekend they've got local action.

They are going nuts. As their rugby life is so miserable being neglects unfairly by the 6Ns, they want to see other continents miserable too.

No need to troll. Paraguay already booked a tournament in Argentina for this weekend. Invited by the UAR. And the whole point of Sudamerica XV is to give some extra games after an uneventful test season. Chile and Brazil have the Maori game and that is awesome but it is the only one they got in June/November.

Sudamerica XV is still a very good challenge for Chile. It doesn't count as an official test match but who cares it's a good match.
