If this is true, Olympics Qualy would have China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines, right?

Thailand, not Taiwan. Sorry, the correct would be China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines. But this for the Olympic Qualy, which is a different competition from the Asian Series.

The 2019 Asian Women's Sevens Series will have Japan, China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia. This means the Phillippines are only promoted to the 2020 Asian Women's Sevens Series.

My doubt is if the Olympic Qualy tournament only drops Japan and replace them with the Trophy winner (Phillppines).

Any idea when World rugby will release some information about the 7's Qualifiers for the Women World Series ? Since there is a WWS in Hong Kong, I doubt the qualifier will stay there next year.

They normally look for the host to be one of the participants, so suspect not Singapore

First stage ever for a women's Algerian national team, and they seem having a good group of players. I write this here because I suppose they will start with 7s, even if they don't specify that in the post

Looking at this site: https://www.world.rugby/sevens-series/tickets - it looks like it will be Hong Kong.

While in Hong Kong we were told that it is unlikely that the women's qualifier will be there next year because they don't have enough pitches to host 4 tournaments. As it is in the current format, the women's qualifier tournament (not sure about the men's) don't have a day 2 for teams that do not progress to the main cup quarters. For some reason, they have been unable to hire the pitches for more days, so unless that changes, the women's qualifier tournament will be hosted by another country.

All expectations confirmed but one in the first day of the Euro 7s U18: England, France, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Russia and Spain qualified for the cup quarterfinals. The eighth team is Czech Rep., which surprisingly defeated Germany and Portugal.
Between the nations of the 6N the only absent is, unfortunately, Italy

Quarters should be

France v Spain
Russia v Czech Rep.
England v Ireland
Scotland v Wales

Not sure why the Dutch girls aren't taking part this year. They finished 6th last year.

England v Russia and France v Wales are the semifinals, with England and France (judging by the results) strong favorites for a place in the cup final

France dominated the final game 29-10 and both them and England dominated the whole tournament (judging by the scores; I haven't seen the games being Italy absent). I think they are going to lead European women rugby again for several years.
Congrats to Russia for the bronze medal (the girls were super happily celebrating) but the best surprise of the tournament is Czech Rep which defeated Germany, Portugal and Spain and gave a scare to Russia (19-24 in the quarterfinals)

Success in U18s has always been closely tied to when players take up the game - in England (well, much of UK&I) and France its very early, so they should always be well ahead of the rest at this stage. So perhaps he headline is how relaively poorly Wales, Scotland and Ireland did.

Czechia have had quite a year. Their squads seem full of confidence - they seem to be leaving their central European rivals behind.

Apparently Thailand withdrew the last stage of the Asian Series, in Colombo

https://scontent-fco1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/ ... 6560_o.jpg

Or maybe they were just absent at the moment of the photo, so absent in the caption

Scores -women's and men's- should flush here
