Re: Women's World Sevens Series 2015-16
I believe I am right in saying that the seeding for Rio will be based on the last two years of WSWS.
ATM the two-year standings for those in Rio are: New Zealand 172; Australia 170; Canada 150; England 136; France 120; USA 112; (Russia 98;) Fiji 60; (Spain 46;) Brazil 32; Japan 11; (Ireland 8); Colombia 1; Kenya 0
If unchanged (and really its only the top two places are likely to see any change), and assuming a Russian win in Dublin, we'd have the following pools:
A: New Zealand, United States, Russia, Kenya
B: Australia, France, Fiji, Colombia
C: Canada, Great Britain, Brazil, Japan
If Spain win in Dublin, Fiji move into Pool A (in place of Russia) and Spain into B.
If Ireland win in Dublin, again Fiji move into A, Brazil into B, and Ireland into C
South Africa would have been in Pool B.
Pool C seems the easiest for Canada and GB. Taking things a step further, if things went to seeding, we'd get QFs something like: NZ v Fiji, Australia v Russia, Canada v United States & GB v France)

Great! This means Brazil vs Japan, which is nice.

Therefore the 11 core teams for the 2016-17 series will be determined as follows:
The top nine teams from the 2015-16 series
The highest ranked team from the Global Repechage, that has not already qualified
The highest ranked team from the Olympics, that has not already qualified
