Looking forward to seeing how Storti gets on in the senior international team. The lad is pure quality, it’s a shame he hasn’t been picked up by a European side, but hopefully the LAR will be a good move for him

Paulo Kretteis doesn't appear in Ealings proffessional or academy squad but only in the U23 team of their amateur side Ealing 1871 https://ealingrugby.co.uk/ealing-1871-us23-29-29-maidenhead/

Also it looks like Jose Rodrigues is out the squad with injury for Portugal which is a huge loss

Victor :I had the impression that Portugal had much more than 2 pro players in 2nd and 3rd french divisions. Is this the best squad they can present or the french club blocked the selection of some of their players and it is only the best group they can bring to Brazil? It would be a B team.

So from my opinion there are some big names missing.

Tadjer at Clermont
Bardy at Montpellier
Bettencourt at Oyonax
Lima at Carcossone
Sousa at Montbaun
Moise and Marques at Paloise
Beco at Oyonax
Alves at Aurriliac
Fernandes at Beziers
Le Roux at Birmingham Moseley

( I think this is upto date)

and then a few more in lower leagues in france and uk

so quite a few , however I don't think this is a B team. This is a solid/good young team. This tour should should give selection choices for ENC. No its not Portugals strongest team, but there you go. Brazil could really be the favourites going into this.

Yes, it looks like a moment of transition in Portugal, building a new team from its youth talent.

Just to note:
Yan Rosetti moved from CUBA (from Buenos Aires) to Pasteur (club from São Paulo).

Luiz Vieira moved back from France to his original club, São José.

Arthur Bergo moved to Pasteur too, after that season in MLR. Josh Reeves hasn't played for any Brazilian club since the end of MLR.

Brazilian pack too strong for Portugal but during the second half the portuguese back line showed a very good play. They came back from a 14 points gap.

There are no excuses. Great location, nice time, no other matches. People are simply tired about our Union. There are positive changes now, let's see if with the time people go back to the stadium.

Victor : how many people attended the match? I could not get the full picture, moreover I have never been to that stadium.

We all know that MAB tour was a well executed market activity but they were 34.000 assistants on a rainy night ¡¡¡¡ It was only 1 year ago, is it so bad the feeling respect the union? Did this match lack a good promotion?

It's a pity but it had barely no promotion for this game. I think 95% or more of the publicity last weeks were to the Barbarians game. I got that the next game will be more important, but I felt a bit disappointed with it, since it was a world ranking game, Portugal is a good team that already made several friendly games against Brazil and it's not so easy to find good level (considering Brazil's level) test matches as this.

Good result for Brazil

The next few years if they can consistently beat Los Teros and the Canucks they'll be in really good shape...
