- There will be a third rugby match in Spain in a football stadium this year, in addition to Classic All Blacks game at Wanda Metropolitano and Cup final in Zamora. Santander derby will be relocated to Torrelavega's Malecón stadium where Spain v Chile was played back in 2015, next February 29th:
https://cadenaser.com/emisora/2020/02/0 ... 69048.html

- Cup final tickets went on sale yesterday. A bit expensive to my taste, between 15 and 50€ for adults. They sold 500 the first day:
https://zamora2020.nutickets.es/copadelrey2020

- Classic All Blacks match promoters released new tickets, but 15€ ones are yet to be seen...

A radio interview in English with Matthew Smith, El Salvador hooker, after his international debut against Russia:

Jordi Jorba tore his ACL last Sunday against Georgia. It's in his healthy knee, last time he lost more than a year... In theory he won't be back in a rugby pitch until at least September.

Interesting squad. Seems stronger than what the Oaks will be able to field... as always, it will come down to the rugby played on the day, of course; but at least is good to see that Spain is able to get many foreign based players for this REC; if they keep it like this for the next couple of years then the RWC 2023 won´t be an impossible dream to have.

We've never won in Romania. I remain skeptical.

Presumably dude has a laptop, in which case open it and go to the Rugby Europe site, click on Rugby Europe TV and - voila! - Romania vs Spain set for live coverage with a 2pm kick off, Saturday. Failing that, go to a cyber cafe. Here's the link: https://www.rugbyeurope.eu/welcome-rugby-europe-tv

As for bars, the Irish variety are your best bet. I watched the 2003 RWC final in one such establishment, right across the road from the Plaza Catalunya. But it's doubtful even the Irish Bars would be showing an ENC game anywhere in Spain outside perhaps Valladolid - even if Spain is involved.

Should be a good match anyway. On form Los Leones probably start favorites, despite the Oaks' home advantage. & wouldn't that be gratifying after the controversial end to the 2019 World Cup qualifying series?! Vamos, Espana!!

Armchair, presumably I don't have any laptop on me, I'm just a rugby fan trying to watch a Rugby Union game in Barcelona as a tourist. There is no hotel room worth the effort, comparing to a pub.

I doubt any touristy pub regularly showing rugby will pick a REC game over 6N and Barça playing the same day in similar hours. The answer was plain honest, not trolling, but if that's the way you prefer to talk don't count on me for any discussion.

Maybe he had some Portuguese wine two weeks ago to make this assumption
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

There's no drugs nor alcohol involved in my opinion, I genuinely think Spain is fielding a good squad and Romania is still working on their reconstruction. Meant no disrespect.

After the result in Portugal, it would not be that surprising if you are right. (That's what I meant with Portuguese wine ;-) )

I didn’t read anything untoward in his post to warrant that reply. :?:

A new sensation? According to rugger.info (https://rugger.info/news/31407) Spanish player Wessel-Bell (Am I correct?) was not eligible to play for national team. During 36 months period he stayed out of Spain 68 days (maximum 60 days are allowed).

Do Spanish mates have any info about this?

Last news: Russian RF starts exploring the issue.

Initially the info was disseminate by Spanish «Revista 22».
