No, the "real thing". They already had a surprisingly close game (25:29) in January against the "whole" British Army. Although apparently it is a bit of a surprise who the Army will actually send over. German national coach Markus Trick said in an radio interview, that they usually just no on the very match day who exactly they will be facing.
How to grow rugby worldwide?
Look at the world ranking in July. Teams ranked 1-10 have to play one team from 11-20 (they don't play in a regular competition) away the next year. 11-20 play 21-30 away and so on. Yes, it really is that simple.

Germany - British Army 6:51 (6:22)
German national coach Markus Trick:
"The result is not, what we hoped for, but we gained a lot of experience and we were shown where our weaknesses lie. Therefore it was a valuable experience, especially because we had some players who have never played on that level before.
„Das Ergebnis ist natürlich nicht so, wie wir uns das vorgestellt haben, aber wir haben viel Erfahrung sammeln können und unsere Schwächen aufgezeigt bekommen. Insofern war das ein wertvoller Test, zumal einige Spielerinnen erstmals auf diesem Niveau gespielt haben.“

In XV-a-side Women's Senior, after a great World Cup in Ireland last August, a "Four nations" European Championship tournament will be organized in Belgium in in late February. A second competition is under construction with other nations to develop and promote Women's rugby in Europe

Scotland Women will play their first test of 2018 against Spain at Scotstoun next month (Sunday 21 January, kick-off 1pm TBC).

It was expected. What shocks me is Munro saying Spain will send Sevens players. I strongly doubt it because next WSWS round takes place in Australia the following weekend. No criticism, I just hope nobody promised them that.

According to Rugby Europe updated schedule, European Trophy would be played in Switzerland with Russia, Sweden, Finland and maybe Czechia.
But date, venue and even teams are TBC.

A post by RAN just appeared on facebook remembers a 2001 match: Trinidad&Tobago v Venezuela. "The first international match for T&T".
Final score was 76-0 and in the image there are eighteen T&T players, this leading to suppose that it was a XV match (not 7s nor 10s). It seems a possible "missing test match" in the historic list created by John

Wow - what a find! Re-writes the history of Caribbean and South American women's rugby. And 76-0 to Venezuela in their only (currently) known test. Where did they come from - and where did they go?
Anyone got any contacts in Venezuela?
Re: Womens XVs Rugby - Global news & Developments
An other Venezuelan game Vs an other country was on July 2010, 18th, during the iberico-american tournament in Bogota : Colombia 27-5 Venezuela.
And Venezuela played 2 games each year in the 2008, 2009 & 2010 tournaments, the others Vs Colombian teams.
Further, in 2014 WRWC, the Colombian mother of the former Spanish Nr 8 Ana Maria Aigneren told me that her daughter played in the beginning of the century some games with Colombia Vs Venezuela.
I left my mail to obtain more details but I never had an answer.

I can find a 13-3 win for Colombia (v Venezuela) on 18/7/08, and another win (no scores) on 16/7/09. Does that sound right?

My results in Colsanitas ibero-american tournaments are following, all games in Bogota.
2008 : Venezuela 16-13 Antiquoia on 14/7, then Venezuela 13-3 Bogota in final on 16/7. I have no trace of a Colombian win on 18/7.
2009 : Venezuela 72-0 Santander on 16/7, then Venezuela 17-22 Antiquoia in final on 18/7.
2010 : First appearance of Colombia. Venezuela 20-5 Colombian regional selection and Colombia 28-0 Las Rozas (a corporate Spanish team of industrial engineers which was I think the 4th team in 2008 & 2009 tournaments and won the 2007's Vs Antiquoia) on 16/7, then Colombia 27-5 Venezuela in final on 18/7. http://www.sudamericarugby.org/2010/07/ ... en-bogota/
2011 : Postponed then cancelled tournament.

Ah my mistake! I was taking "hosts" as meaning Colombia
So - just one possible "test match", in 2010. Thanks!

Quick fixture for both sides before their Six Nations begins.
Wales' last competitive match was against tournament hosts Ireland in the World Cup, and they face the same opponents in a Six Nations warm-up match in Ystrad Mynach on Sunday 21st January.

In Spain one of the colombian players that was part of the games is playing. I could ask her. What do you need?

I guess the key question is "was it a test match". What happened to the team after 2010 would be interesting - did 7s cause an end to 15s?
